5 stars for the pub, the atmosphere, the food, the beer and the friendly, accommodating staff. We decided that the Old Crown would be the perfect place for an intimate celebration of our daughter's wedding last Friday. From having drinks and setting up the room the night before; all through the actual wedding day celebrations (with the locals even cheering the married couple as they entered); to the morning after clear up: The Old Crown did us proud! It was perfect and just what our daughter had wanted. Thank you Si & Helen.

Lovely community owed pub. We managed to missed food service by an unknown amount of time, so only got drinks; very small selection but host was helpful.
Sat outside, overlooking the green, and enjoyed the company of a local collie dog. Many dogs inside and seemed like a well-loved space!

We were renting a cottage in Caldbeck and got recommended this place and it didn?t disappoint!
I had the steak and hesket ale pie and my partner the shoulder of lamb and both were lovely.
They have local cask ales and lager which were a hit.
The staff were really welcoming and friendly and you could tell it was a hit with locals, it was genuinely nice to see.
We will definitely be back.

Fantastic pub experience with very friendly and welcoming staff, especially Helen and Simon. The menu is excellent with a great selection. Specials are also available. Great cask ales selection due to the brewery being based behind the pub. Very comfortable seating areas. Also, very friendly locals. Highly recommended when you are next in the area. Parking is available either outside or in the car park nearby.
