Lovely little place. A wide and wonderful variety of products- various kinds of honey, spices etc. I bought their honey with vanilla and quite like it.

Ice cream scoop sizes poor. I feel ‘under-scooped!’ Half child-like scoops at best and paying full price. Not great ?

Delicatessen gift food shop located in the beautiful village of Hawkshead. We are supporters of local small food businesses ranging from Cumberland sausage, sticky toffee pudding, Kendal mintcake, local jams, marmalade, chutney, gins and beers. A take away counter full of hand made cakes and pies, freshly made filled rolls to take on your hike or call in for a freshly made tea or coffee from Penningons of Kendal.
