Loaded fries was cold, other than that, service was fine. Over priced for what we got

A lovely spot outside for a drink and food. We were met with a warm and friendly welcome and enjoyed a couple of pints from a local brewery and some homemade sweet treats were purchased, some for us and some for the family back home! The atmosphere is relaxed and a welcome escape from the hustle and bustle of Grasmere in August.

I ordered a Cajun Chicken Burger after a tiring hike, but all I received was a small piece of chicken breast, one slice of tomato, one leaf of lettuce, and two buns for £18. It was incredibly expensive and the food quality is sooooo cheap.

Very nice converted chapel made into cafe set in the heart of the village. Lovely sandwiches for lunch.

The most dog friendly café that we've been to. We were given a blanket for our dog to lay on and treats for him.
The food was absolutely delicious.

Highly recommending the loaded fries! It?s big enough to share! We had one each and were stuffed afterwards! I only gave 4?? for the atmosphere, because it was an hr before closing time and it was cold and rainy outside. I?m sure it?s probably buzzing on other days/times. I loved the building and fairy lights. I wish I had room for cakes, because they looked great too!

This place is wonderful in so many ways. An excellent surprise find.
Staff were so friendly and welcoming when we arrived and continued to be when we discussed the details of certain dishes. Mum has allergies, so it's important. I am especially impressed with our server, who I believe is called Donna.
I enjoyed the burger, which was so tasty. I loved the chips with it too. Mum had a mushroom a pizza which I was lucky enough to steal a piece of which I actually enjoyed even more than my meal. I'd have that in future.
The restaurant is a converted church which has some pews converted into booths. There's a toilet for customers that's very clean.
We only visited this place because many eateries were shut at that time, but I'm so glad we did. It's perfect for a comfortable bite to eat.

Just had burger and chips at Harley's in Grassmere. Probably the best burger I have ever tasted. Thick and
juicy, covered with bacon and cheese. It completely filled the bun. Also a very tasty side salad. Washed down with an excellent pint of Swan Blonde.
Would recommend it to anybody visiting Grassmere.

Great food. We had steak burger, pizza and fish and chips - all were great.
Service was excellent, colouring books and pencils for the girls were really appreciated.

Jorvic took his uncle Deric here for a pint. A lovely Bistro in an old chapel. A one room establishment with additional outdoor seating. One real ale on sale, a Bowness Bay brewery Fell Runner, a 4.8% blond beer. Very good. We did not eat but the food looked tempting. Really enjoyed the visit.
