Disgusted! My wife purchased a distressed French style mirror & table displayed in the window. Wasn?t able to examine but as the owner said they had a workshop assumed they would be fine. Sadly one of the finial posts fell off in the van borrowed to collect.The glue holding the broken parts together was still soft ! Felt deceived?Also the table had a rotten leg which the foot disintegrated again in the van !I telephoned the owner who said bought as seen. Was not interested in finding a solution. I paid well over £200 for junk !Very annoyed . Would not enter shop againBeware!

Appalling service.and suggest others don't.I purchased a pair of gloves for a present (£14.95).When I gave the gift it turned out that both gloves were for the same hand.I rang to arrange to return these. I had the receipt.The young girl I spoke with was very nice and said she would ask the owner to ring me. This didn't happen.I rang again almost two week later to be told there was nothing they could do.I feel this is is atrocious service, also the owner did not even have the courtesy of returning my call.I have read an earlier report of this shop and have experienced 'attitude' from the owner. Once chatting on the phone whilst customers waiting.I did not return for quite some time however decided to give them another chance and actually spent over £50.I have now learnt my lesson. Won't be going back and suggest others beware.

This review based purely on the unhelpfulness of the owner after I asked to exchange a bracelet I had bought as a gift. I decided the clasp was too fiddly and that I would prefer to buy my friend a different bracelet from the same shop. I travelled 23 miles back to the shop from where I live less than a week later and had the receipt. When I explained to the owner I got an abrupt answer "No I don't do that, I'm a small business". I explained that I only wanted to exchange, not get a refund and that I intended to buy further items too. I got the same response. I then made several purchases from other "small businesses" in Grange and mentioned my experience. It would appear this is not a view taken by others who would have been more than happy to exchange or even refund and were very friendly and welcoming. I am all for supporting small shops on the high street and I would have thought this owner would want to give good customer service in these hard economic times to retain customers. Why should being a small business stop her from exchanging an item?Her totally inflexible approach lost her my custom and goodwill and I will not be returning although I will happily support the other small businesses in Grange.

My wife called in today and got chatting to the owner who was extremely kind and helpful. There was even a random act of kindness by the owner that really made my wife?s day. Apparently everything in the shop is very unique and if you are looking a lovely gift then you will find something there.
