“Better than expected, an absolute hidden gem! The room (barn annexe) was beautiful, all furnishings were high quality, you can tell the owners really care. The bed was amazingly comfortable (locally handmade mattress apparently!), the kitchen facilities were great, and the bathroom was luxurious. Everything was sparkling clean. We were travelling with our 4 month old, the owners provided a travel cot - best travel cot we have ever used! It was a super thick John Lewis mattress included, our baby slept so well. So many thoughtful touches - high quality toiletries, tea, fresh coffee & fresh milk, brownies etc. We also had parking directly outside the room which was great for unloading all the gubbins required when travelling with a baby.We ate in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast and the food matched the quality of the room, so tasty and well presented.The staff couldn't do enough for us and were incredibly friendly.I will be recommending The Hare & Hounds to everyone who will listen!”
