“We stayed at Uplands Inn whilst cycling The Lakes and Dales Loop. It’s a perfect location, right on the route. There is secure bike storage. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Great breakfast to start the day. Competitively priced. Thank you!”
“The hotel is quite old so some of the features are a bit quirky but it retains some lovely period architecture and pieces which are well maintained and the place is very clean. There are two very comfortable relaxation lounges. The owners and staff are very efficient and friendly, breakfast is generous and well cooked. Only slight downside is the bathroom and shower cubicle are on the small side but as place to stay a pleasant flat walk out of Cartmel then it's recommended.”
“Went here for an evening meal. Great quality food and reasonable prices. Would definitely recommend the hake main course. Staff very friendly as well and a cosy atmosphere ”
“A lovely spa day location. Conspicuous period building that is elevated from the road, and this makes for an impressive approach. Lovely Spa staff. Great facilities and the treatments were of a good standard.”
“Stayed for 3 nights DB&B. Comfortable room with balcony overlooking Morecambe Bay. I'm not particularly a "foodie" but I have to say the food and service were excellent. A very refined hotel with lovely gardens and lots of parking. Definitely appeals to more "mature" guests. Ideal for a quiet, short break in the southern part of The Lakes.”
