If you are looking for a care Home for your mother or father, then i would most definitely recommend this home. I think it?s one of the most difficult times in our lives when we are faced with putting our loved ones into a home, for what ever reason. It was my mother?s choice to go into a home, especially difficult for me as I live abroad, so I wanted to make sure that this was the perfect choice and only Home that she would be in.Where do you begin? How do you know what?s good or bad? It?s such an emotional time. Some, we walked in and with much apologising, walked straight out knowing that I would not be happy letting my Mum live there. However, when I walked into Grange Cottage and met Charlotte, (who then was the manager and now is the owner) I instantly felt that this was the one. It had a special warmth about the place, but that was down to the staff as they were genuinely caring. My mother was there for four years and I never once was concerned about her welfare, especially as I lived so far away. If I turned up unannounced there was never a problem and I was always made so welcome.Sadly due to dementia and mums age, she passed away at the Home in October (2017). I was privileged to be with her.The care my Mum received from all the staff there was just the most considerate and loving and their thoughtfulness to me at such an awful time was wonderful and helped me through it all immensely. They were all Angels to the very end and I shall never forget them and plan to pop in from time to time for a coffee and hopefully some of that delicious home made cake!!So that?s my story and as I said, I can highly recommend this home from home care Home.Best wishes and good luck.Paula Liddon xx
