What a lovely place! Great service, food really good and some nice surprises too in terms of choice. Dog friendly as well. Had a great late lunch here after Ennerdale walk.

Lovely cafe and giftshop, conveniently located near the Coast to Coast route - perfect for fuelling up before starting day 2. Large food and drinks menu, with plenty of vegetarian options. I had a vegetarian sausage and egg sandwich and an iced latte, both of which were very nice :)

I was looking forward to try this venue due to the reviews. Yes it was full at times, the food was good for the price but nothing special either..I can cope with that BUT what I really do not like is to be treated as if I was an inconvenience for just turning up at a busy time, barely welcomed or acknowledged. The owner is lucky the teenagers working hard to keep the tables clean and some interacted well with the visitors. I may get a defensive reply from the owner but I am telling you how this was for me... Advice: Smile and be welcoming... that is the number one in keeping your clients especially in this business. Will avoid on future.

Such lovely people! I came in here totally sodden while walking the coast to coast and they couldn?t have been kinder to me! They even let me in after hours to warm up and have a coffee. Really recommend supporting this lovely spot! Thank you xx

Nice atmosphere and a sweet place but the food was very average, supermarket sliced bread for toast and no frills or much beyond just very basic. Very bitter coffee. Not very friendly ??
