“Absolutely stunning place, both to stay and see. The staff were fabulous, Andrew, Chloe, Will, and a few others but I've unfortunately forgotten their names. Food was tremendous, beer fantastic, rooms spotless and wonderfully comfortable. I'm sorry I couldn't stay longer. But that means I will certainly be back. If there were ten stars I'd give them all.Rooms: Stupendously comfortable and quiet, well supplied with essentials such as tea.Nearby activities: Walking, hiking, climbing the Whernside & Ingleborough, and seeing the masterpiece of engineering: Ribblehead Viaduct.Walkability: A good day's walk is not too far away - I did 10 or 12 miles a day. And you could do more. The inn is also very easy to get to from the railway station; just a couple of minutes walk.Food & drinks: English pub ales are the best, nothing beats 'em. Grab the Ploughmans if you can: such a heaping of cheese and sausage and ham and bread and pickles. Breakfast(if staying) is terribly good as well.”
