We overall had a great stay but worryingly 2 meals came out with raw chicken which one of us had already started to eat ! Luckily no one got poorly and changed right away & staff discounted meals !

We went here for a family meal and will definitely be returning. Beautiful old building, very friendly and helpful staff and the food was amazing. The only negative was that there was so much choice I really struggled to decide what to have ?.
Highly recommend. There is also a lovely outdoor area if the weather is nice.

A great little traditional pub at the heart of the community. Drinks and food aren't badly priced.
The food portions are huge and you'll struggle to finish it. I went for the Steak Pie priced at £15 which came with vegetables (cabbage, broccoli and carrots) which also came with a portion of chips. The size of the steak pie took over 1/3 of the size of the plate and was home made. The steak contents was plentiful and had large chunks in as well as lots of delicious gravy.
Parking: There's an enclosed parking area which is open between 10am and 8pm.

Was staying across the road so gave this a try. Is a nice looking pub with quite a traditional feel. There are a lot of seats upstairs for food but mainly for a drink downstairs with a seating area and car park outside also. Good selection of food and drink. We were told on arrival that there was a 15 min wait to order and 45 min wait for food which was a shame.
Ordered the garlic chicken breast and spicy chips. It was decent tasting however one of my chicken breasts was raw so overall spoiled the meal. Told the lad working and he was very nice about it. Not sure of his name but he was good both on the bar and with food.

Service wasn't grate drinks where forgotten, food wasn't to taste. Chicken korma the chicken was under cooked, Cajun chicken pasta the chicken was dry, cajun chicken baguette the chicken was dry too also the chips where undercooked. The manager was understanding but we still got over charged for our bill though as we all basically only had our starters and drinks

Ate here with my wife on the 01/08/24 and witnessed the most disgusting customer service I've ever seen. We waited around 40 minutes for our meal and when it arrived it was practically thrown on the table, it was over cooked and looked disgusting but we powered through, it tasted like it had been heated in the microwave.
We witnessed a group of mature ladies enter around the same time as us, they waited around 90 minutes for their meal and the servers were extremely rude to them, then they complained the food wasn't upto par and barely touched their meals, as they got upto leave the staff were hurling abuse at them, we were extremely uncomfortable with the atmosphere, staff were shouting and swearing at these ladies who had waited so long for a meal.
Absolutely disgusting behaviour! We left shortly after and will not be returning. The management need to have a word with themselves and get some staff who know how to treat customers.
