Country Kitchen is a must when you are on the Cumbrian way. The food is delicious, freshly prepared, and real value for money. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. If the weather is good, go to the outside garden at the back it's beautiful and a great place to chill ? We shared a cheese scones with extra cheese and it may be the best we have ever had. Thank you so much for the welcomed break we really enjoyed the pit stop ?????

This is a very small ,but pleasant space in what is basically a room in a terrace house located in the centre of a very pleasant village. If is delightfully different.The meals are delicious in my opinion and the service friendly and efficient. The atmosphere is very relaxed and informal.The prices are competitive and reasonable.We tend to book a table as capacity is limited, but is not a requirement.It is not elegant, it is as the name suggests just like being in someone?s house and that is part of its charm.The total experience is consistent and I always enjoy my visits.

Breakfast was too greasy and the sausages would be lucky if they were 50% pork. I felt let down as the reviews were good online. On a plus note coffee was good!
