Campervan electric pitch at the back of the pub. Very good location for walks around Conniston. Lovely surroundings and staff are so friendly and welcoming.

Very popular friendly welcoming pub, it gets very busy, so book a table if you want to eat. Excellent food and atmosphere in a beautiful location below the Coniston fells.

We stayed in one of the shepherd?s huts and we really enjoyed our stay. Nice peaceful location. The highlight was definitely the food - we ate here everyday of our stay and would definitely recommend!

Return visit to this lovely pub. Good seating inside and out. Good food and drinks selection. Definitely worth a visit if youre in the area. Staff are great.

Fantastic food, good value, brilliant service. This is still true in 2025, we have been back a few times since my original review and so many things have changed. The pub offers accommodation with traditional rooms, shepherds huts, glamping pods and motorhome park up. When we visited mid week/ July tables were only available pre booked, it was very busy. The Wilson's offers a great selection of beers and wines, the staff are brilliant and welcoming, the food was excellent. The location is close to lots of hiking and mountain bike routes. 5 stars from me.

Everything was ok until the breakfast. We have not been asked for any order in 30 min. We ordered eggs royale and coffee, after 30 min they said that they ran out of ingredients. We ordered something else after 10 min they said the same. We did not want to wait again. Then we left after 1 hour 10 min without having anything.
