What a great find in Coniston after a lakeside walk. Small cozy cafe full of locals & regulars, says a lot about it. Good menu with 5 soups to choose along with specials and the printed menu. Coffee was hot & strong, perfect for a winter's day. We had Matt's Special (chicken, bacon, cheese & BBQ sauce layered on top of thick toast) and toast with beans & egg, both were very tasty & filling. If it's busy, it's worth waiting for.

A very warm welcome, every item on my breakfast was delicious. Latte was perfect. The toast portion was large and came with nice butter I think the bread may have been home baked. Thanks for getting me off to a good start.

A fantastic independent family Cafe that is well worth a visit if you?re in the area. Great food, excellent service and always good value. Their Soups, Scones & Toasted Teacakes are especially good.

Lovely little coffee shop which I stumbled across by accident walking into the village from the YHA. Both the staff were so friendly and the homemade soup was some of the best I've had. Big pots of tea and the cakes looked amazing (I forced myself to decline). Will definitely be back on my next

Reasonably priced, friendly service, tasty food. What more could you ask for? Huge variety of options, and super flexible with swaps etc. all Sandwiches, jacket spuds etc can be any combination of toppings, even if they?re not listed on the menu

Lovely little spot in Coniston with divine views all around you. Really lovely staff, and even more wonderful customers - the card machine wasn?t working on my early boxing day visit, but the generous man behind me kindly paid ?Nice hot latte to keep me going on my Coniston Old Man

Absolutely amazing spot. We dropped in after a walk around Tarn Hows looking for a light lunch, and ended up here ordering 3 soup/sandwich combos and 3 teas. There was a plan for cake afterwards, but portions are huge, especially considering the prices, so cake is on hold until another visit. Everything was piping hot, staff were lovely and friendly, service quick and the whole place both clean and welcoming.

This is a very small cafe in Coniston. The decor has seen better days but then they didn't mind us dripping all over the floor. The service was very friendly and the soup delicious on a wet day.
