All of our dishes are completely homemade in the farmhouse kitchen using the freshest ingredients possible. Our herbs are from our own kitchen herb garden and where possible the vegetables are also homegrown.
Our beef is from our own pedigree herd of Aberdeen Angus cattle. They are grass finished on the farm and the meat is dry aged for a minimum of 21 days to develop a full flavour. Our lamb is from our own flock of Jacob sheep grazed alongside the cattle and specifically chosen for its mild succulent flavour. All our game is wild and from the surrounding fields and woodlands and the deep water Char are line caught by local fishermen in Coniston Water.
Our ethos is to farm in a sensible and sustainable manner.
