Never in my life have I been spoken to like I have just been at this garage.Called in on my way home from work on Monday, asked if someone could take a Quick Look at my vehicle, to see what the next steps were. Got shouted at across the garage that he was too busy, and he was supposed to be finished already but still had work to do. Got the impression he was having a bad day, so I said ok, no problem and left. Driving past again today a couple of days later, I thought I would call back in and simply ask to book it in.Greeted by ?I didn?t tell you to come back?Shocked, i said, I know, I wanted to book it in, I know you?re busy, I appreciate that and that?s why I am trying to book it in.then just got abuse. He doesn?t want to ever look at my vehicle and apparently ?hardly ever takes on new customers?.Kept trying to shut the door in my face but then opened it to keep giving me more grief. Acted like I was a problem just for daring to try and use his service.Never. Ever. Been spoken to like that before. Will never make the mistake of ever going anywhere near this place again.Rude. Awful. Should be ashamed.EDIT:IN RESPONSE TO THE OWNER'S RESPONSE.The time I arrived was 4:45pm, not 5 minutes from closing.I was polite and asked if someone could take a look and when you said no, I said "ok, fine" and I started to leave. I DID NOT GO OVER TO ANYONE. He shouted across the garage AT ME. I was trying to get into my vehicle when he shouted. I then said "It's ok, fine" and left.On my second visit, at the same time, no later than 4:45pm, I never got a chance to say ANYTHING before I was told "I didn't tell you to come back" in a really aggressive tone.I was passing on my return journey from work and decided to call back in to try and arrange an appointment, I'd been told once you wouldn't look at that time, I'm not a fool to try the same thing again. This time, I also parked on the opposite side of the road, instead of in front of the garage, this would denote I'm not expecting you to look at my car, as it was "parked". I would take no for an answer, but I never got the chance to even ask the question.The abuse I got from the offset was an utter disgrace. You might want to try and alter the facts to make yourself look like i was the problem here, but the problem was quite clearly your attitude.I live in the village and have done for many years and decided to try and use a local garage for ease, where in the past I've used one close to work, rather than close to home.I wasn't expecting a full inspection, I wasn't pushy, aggressive or anything like that and made my intentions clear from the offset. I'm not a mechanic and wanted someone to have a quick look to see if it was an immediate problem or if it could wait, a cursory look, you said no, and I left. My thoughts at the time were "he's obviously had a long day, I'll come back another time". Then I went back two days later with the intention to book an appointment, upon arrival I was immediately the recipient of hostility before i could even open my mouth.NOT how i expected to be treated. NOT how I would EVER treat any of my customers. NOT how I would treat ANYONE.Maybe if you'd listened to me, or even given me the chance to speak (on my second visit) we could have had an amicable conversation instead of pure unwarranted hostility on your part.your comment of "we always try to help where we can" is also completely at odds with the comment "We hardly ever take on new customers" which I was told to my face too before i left...I did absolutely nothing to deserve the treatment I got at this garage. I even gave the benefit of the doubt for what I considered rudeness on my first visit which is why i gave it another chance. This should have been a simple interaction and if the garage didn't want me as a customer for whatever reason, there are ways and means to talk to people which could have made this whole thing go differently. Great service yet again from Bill, Michelle and the team. I have been going to the Wheatsheaf garage to get my cars serviced/repaired/MOT'ed for years and have nothing but praise for the whole team. Great Job, well done and keep doing what you are doing
