Tiny coffee shop but was told its the best in Cockermouth. It probably is, but we had better coffee elsewhere in the lakes. We are 'coffee snobs' and we usually sniff out small indie coffee shops, and the moon & sixpence defo has that vibe. We stopped in twice, so definitely not saying the coffee is bad, just being realistic about our expectations based on previous reviews. We took a slice of vegan cake which was very nice and I also bought a bag of locally roasted beans which I love to do. They were very very busy, so not the most relaxed smiley environment, as experienced elsewhere. Look forward to cracking open my beans :-)

Great choice of coffee beans from local roasters to purchase. Friendly and knowledgeable owners on hand to advise on tasting notes/preferences.
Really good quality coffee served - will definitely return next time I visit the Lakes.
