Nice room staff all great and very friendly had breakfast and dinner and both were perfectly nice for the standard of the hotel. I would definitely stay again.

Used this as a base for our family holiday to the Lake District. The room was a good size for the 4 of us and apart from the fire alarm going off one night we had a lovely stay.

We had some issues with a faulty lock on our door and not being able to access our room. Peter was incredibly helpful, making us up a new room as quickly as possible.

Nearly all Premier Inns are clean but this one is spotless and well maintained. Breakfast lovely and staff so hardworking. Car park could use a litter pick. But the big disappointment was the evening meal. Slow queue to get table, even slower to order, not worth the time taken when the cold low quality food eventually arrives.

Low budget hotel, had what I expected, everything average apart from breakfast which was good.Evening meal, the half chicken over cooked and crispy, the meat was chewy. No coleslaw, which I found out after ordering.

Wheelchair accessible bedroom on ground floor excellent. Bathroom roomy and well equipped with supports. All clean. Bed comfortable so slept well. Staff friendly and helpful. Restaurant understaffed so service slow. Parking plentiful with some wheelchair spaces.

Having traveled extensively the length and breadth of the UK on business, I can honestly say the Premier Inn @ Cockermouth has been the most friendly and helpful I?ve ever stopped in. Andrea in the restaurant was fantastic, so helpful and the best pint of Guinness I?ve had in a long time. The food was super, and the service was excellent. If your travelling to the Lakes, please make a detour and experience the superb service for your special day.

We opted for Premier plus. It was well worth it. The room was clean and warm, with everything we needed. We also opted for the meal deal( Breakfast/ evening meal. The evening meal was superb. Steaks med rare perfectlycooked, I'm on a healthy eating diet and it was no problem to exchange chips ect for a jacket potato and salad.). The staff are also very friendly. Thank-you for making our stay special.

We stayed for 4 nights at the Cockermouth premier inn hotel for a sailing trip with a client we look after. Our client is disabled and is wheelchair bound, this meant we had a standing hoist (we brought our own), a commode and her wheelchair. The size of the room was a struggle as there was two single beds in the room and we was told the spare one couldn?t be removed which left us with limited space for moving and handling. The height of the bed was very low due to it sitting so close to the floor when completing any moving and handling we have had to be on our knees which consequently has meant we haven?t done our backs any favours. We tried to call before coming to ensure that we could raise the bed and was told the hotel had new beds and these couldn?t be raised - again this wasn?t mentioned at booking. Having an uneven surface on the floor meant that moving the hoist was very difficult too. Our client usually has showers as a part of her morning routine but was told when booking that there was not a wet room available. This meant that when trying to provide any kind of personal care/cleaning we was faced with obstacles. Managing a shower with a lady who cannot get into a bath with an overhead shower is extremely difficult. Also, explaining to someone who showers daily that this wouldn?t be possible didn?t feel right either. We understand that these things cannot be exactly the same as at home and the expense of ceiling hoists can become pricey although the benefits these tiny features have to a persons life and day to day activities can massive impact. Same applies to the wet room, having a drainage system on the floor would have made it easier to use the shower head and shower on the floor as getting into the bath was not an option. The room our client was given was/is designed for someone of a disability who still has some able features, eg. The toilet was too high for commode to go over the top, standing hoist wouldn?t fit through the bathroom door and there was a button to call for assistance? our client is unable to move. We had to waste £15 on Wi-Fi that continuously disconnected meaning one night when she needed us she couldn?t call through to us as the signal here is poor too. We asked for room service to help with the cleaning, changing of towels and bin removals - this only happened on one of the days despite asking and leaving the sign on the handle. While the staff were lovely and accommodating, it became largely irritating when our key cards for the room stopped working as jumping between two rooms was needed throughout the day. We was also told it should be specified when booking that the rooms would need to be attached again this should be an option when booking accessible rooms. When having a meal in the attached restaurant the service was very slow and only seemed have limited staff on at a time. We booked a meal for 16 people 2 nights in a row. One night was smashing we all really enjoyed it and had a good laugh. The second night wasn?t so great. Our food came out staggered so while some people had been finished a while some had only just been served. Meals were coming out wrong and it seemed quite disorganised. We was offered a free pudding or drink although these weren?t offered to the customers who brought meal deals with their room package.Overall our stay was enjoyable, the food was lovely and the staff were very pleasant just a shame we faced all these obstacles when trying to make our clients stay as comfortable and easy as possible. Our client hopes to come back to the Lakes for more sailing in years to come so we just hope these issues can be resolved to ensure our stay next time is easier and more comfortable for her so we can use Cockermouth hotel again.

This premier inn is perfectly situated and easy to find. Staff are really helpful and Premier Plus adds a few luxury touches which I would recommend. When I visit Cumbria again this is the place I would stay.

A massive thank you to the night staff on the night of 26.08.23 who tried their best to find us a room after we were badly let down by our cottage booking company and stranded in Cumbria at midnight 300 miles from home. I was very grateful for their help. Unfortunately everywhere was booked and we eventually made the 300 mile drive back home.

I wasn't staying at the hotel, just visiting the area and nipped in to ask for directions, Chantelle at the front desk was super friendly, helped me find my way and even suggested a lovely restaurant to go for dinner. Will definitely look to stay here next time I'm in the area if the staff are any indication of the quality of the hotel!

Lack of staff in bar area for breakfast. Items missing from the breakfast buffet. Two vegetarian sausages cremated and coffee machine not working two out of three mornings. Evening meal, hectic with no orders at table but order at bar. OK if more than one staff member but quite a long wait to order. Items didn't all appear later and needed to remind. Clearly a lack of staff as the staff there were trying their best.
