I believe I am not easily or quickly impressed and rarely recommend. However, I had the good fortune to stumble upon the rare gem of excellence that is RTU Optical ten years ago. Since then I have never bought spectacles anywhere else. The quality of the spectacles, the speed of delivery and the honesty and friendliness of the service have always been faultless. I have never seen better, or even equal, value for money elsewhere. I strongly recommend them.

No nonsense service, quick turnround, value for money, and top people. With prescription in hand, why go anywhere else for quality lenses and frames. I will certainly be back.

I went to see Ian after I had had two pairs of specs from another (High Street ) opticians neither of which suited me . Ian could see defects in the lenses of the latter pair and advised me to take them back. After a lot of discussion with them I was just not confident that I was going to get a proper solution from them so came back here for replacement lenses in a previous pair. Within a week I had new ultralight lenses, and I now have specs that are comfortable and work well. Thanks Ian !

If you want to save a lot of cash on having new glasses, or indeed old frames to have new lenses put in, you need to go here!!

Only found this place through word of mouth. Very reasonably priced. Get your prescription and come and choose your frames. Lots of designer frames to choose from. Frames start at £35 including the lenses. Limited parking outside the door. Cash or cheque only.

This company can save you pounds on your glasses. It stocks lots of different desiger names such as Miss Sixty, D&G and Police among others and the service is fantastic. The range on offer is good and the glasses are clearly displayed in price bands which makes it really easy to buy within your budget. They also sell sports eyeware and sunglasses as well. The customer service is spot on too. My mum took her prescription here and bought a pair of varifocals. Unfortunately after a couple of weeks she felt they were too narrow for her and wanted something with a wider lens. This was no problem and the guy let her choose another pair that were bigger and my mum just paid the difference in price between the new ones and the ones she had chosen originally. I wouldn't go anywhere else for my glasses now and have told lots of people to do the same too.
