They need another receptionist. The one they have is rude and definitely not an animal lover.

Receptionist on phone? More like a prison officer at times! You lot are on the phones for 1 hour of the day 1 till 2 and the fact you have an attitude/ego as big as you do is not a good look for any establishment especially in a one where kind words and understanding goes a very long way. Managers should review reception.

Wish I could give it zero star. Receptionist extremely rude. I don?t know why she?s in the job as she clearly doesn?t care. After having a severely injured bird in the garden, we called our vets (Craig Robinsons which is amazing); Carlisle council and wildlife trust in our village, Houghton. All of them told us to contact the RSPCA. The receptionist was extremely rude and stated that she didn?t care and it had nothing to do with them and that they aren?t responsible for ?dirty birds?. I was offered no further advice and I hung up. I am in disbelief that someone could represent an establishment like that. I am relieved that me and my husband are in good jobs and my heart breaks for anyone who has to go through regularly.

Reception has an "attitude"and talks down to clients,,, and the Veterinary whom you see, is "Luck of the draw", as it did depends on Who's their on the Day, I have No Idea Why Covid means Of Course Only 3hrs a week?!!Old Mr Baird, who was a fantastic vet, Sadly long gone......

Hi it is Covid andI am aware of that.My cat bleeds from a paw.I am on an low income which entitles you to RSPCA treatment. After explaining my situation and that my cat was bleeding I was sent to a pdsa webpage to register for the pdsa scheme. As it turns out you need to see Robinson's vets to get a stamp for the form .So no emergency treatment and the PDSA pet plan entitles you to only 20% of vet treatment. So no emergency treatment ,the Close Street Clinic is only by appointment and "was snowed under".I cannot recommend Robinson's either ,they quoted £85 for treatment.

Helpful Vets,,,but desk staff have an unpleasant snobby attitude.

Reception lady was very rude with most people on more than one occasion and with me, argued against me even the vet came out and stuck up for me after hearing her. The vets there were great tho and very helpful.

Won't treat your pet unless they are neutered and thats £45. What they don't get is that people who bring their animals here are really good responsible pet owners. Go to the likes of pets at home , nu pets who sell animals for pure profit make them sell animals who are already neutered it's these big profit organizations who are the problem that the rspca funds.

Easily accessible by appointment. Friendly staff and no pressure to adopt, which is why I went. Plenty of information and help.
