I would summarise our stay here as variable, as a whole it fell below the standard I would normally expect from a Premier Inn and also below what I have had in this very hotel on a previous stay.
The room was up to the usual standard, clean (apart from a pillow stain) and comfortable. However our sleep was disturbed by the loud seagulls outside and also by the adjacent M&S receiving two deliveries in the very early hours (4am and 6am). These problems were compounded by having to have the window open due to hot weather.
We took advantage of the meal deal and kids eat free (both very good deals) in the restaurant. We couldn?t be seated for 45 minutes despite the restaurant not appearing very busy. When we were sat and had ordered, it took the better part of an hour for food to come. In total, a massive wait with young children. Lots (too many to list here) of ingredients/parts were missing from the meals. Breakfast was much better, decent quality buffet style deal.
The staff were all lovely throughout but I think there are quite a few improvements to be made here. Temperature control in the rooms would help the noise issues and the restaurant could definitely be better run in the evenings.

So convenient for the motorway M6. Room as expected for Premier Inn. Bed very comfy. The restaurant was okay, but the a/c was freezing. Friendly staff turned it off. This was essential as we did have to wait an hour for our food, even tho there were children in our group.

On arrival, the guy behind the reception desk was rude and condescending. The girl behind the bar was nice but kept leaving it unattended for quite a while. Food was poor and drinks expensive. Had someone walk into my room at 10am without knocking.
Awful premier inn

Premier plus rooms were a good size, clean and comfortable as you would expect. Bathroom had a lovely walk in shower. Two issues: 1, because the shower tray is so long and the grips do not extend the whole length of the tray, getting out without slipping is quite an art - either a bathmat or grab handle would solve this issue. 2, There is no lift in this hotel and getting to our room meant going down one flight of steps and up two flights. Just because someone does not need an accessible or adapted room, does not mean they don't need easy access to the room.
Breakfast was good and plentiful.

Clean tidy room. Receptionist helpful. Good example of what PI offers.

old and in desperate need of a refurbishment but it's a bed for a night avoid the restaurant tho service is shockingly slow 40min for drinks to arrive and over an hour for microwaved pie cold chips and peas like bullets to arrive having stayed at premier inn all over the country i can put hand on heart and say this is the second worse I have experienced

I have never stayed in such a noisy Premier Inn!! Not humans, SEAGULLS. They never stopped all night . They could also do with a car wash on site to wash off all the presents left by them. We had several issues with the room as well. TV not working, shower not working, dirty towel,.
On the plus side the staff were helpful, room was clean and the food was good.
I would recommend if they could sort the noise problem out.i e netting on the roof etc.

Does exactly what a Premier Inn should do. Its just easy. Food and drinks aren't bad, though the food wasn't hot it was decent quality.
Rooms are just fine and exactly what is expected.

From the outside looks quite dirty as seagull poop all over the main sign and windows. Inside is perfectly clean and lovely staff. The Thyme restaurant was spotless with amazing staff

No air conditioning so room was hot - leaving windows open means you get woken early by seagulls.
Neither free not premium WiFi reached my room.
Ask you to wait to be seated for breakfast but waited for ages and no one seated me so just went and sat down myself.
