I would 100% recommend the Carlisle Halfords store, fantastic warm, friendly and incredibly helpful staff who quickly helped me get my car bulb sorted and did a 10 point service check. What a place for repairs absolutely useless. Dropped my car off for a break fluid change at 11.30 and told would contact me when ready. Three hours later still waiting for call but according to app was in the workshop. Took a walk to the workshop area and no car, thought must have taken for a test drive, however as l walked away spotted my car in the car park adjacent to Halfords.Then walked back and was told the car was moved to make room for other vehicles and no fluid change had been done, although was told in the workshop. Was furious and cancelled service, will never use these cowboys again

Colleague Aragorn Gycces at Halfords Carlisle on London Road was terrific 10 out of 10 service, changed my bike tyres, drilled a hole to fix the mudguards, preordered a bike pannier rack and we even talked about cycling, He tells me he uses Strava Pro and I recommended to him Komoot. I used to use Strava but I got Komoot instead. I explained that Komoot has turn-by-turn navigation, and Komoot is arguably the best true adventure riding app for road cyclists. I think he was interested because I said It costs £3.99 for a region and £8.99 for a bundle of regions and he wrote it down and said he'd have a look. Thank you for your help. I will be coming back whenever my bike needs cleaning/maintenance.

I called in to the store with a broken rear derailleur on my road bike on the way from John o' Groats to Land's End. Mal in the shop was extremely helpful, and did everything he could to salvage the old derailleur, which turned out to be irreparable, before fitting a new one. He took great care and attention in getting me back on the road and I really appreciate the time he took to do a really thorough job. Thanks so much!

The most professional, patient and helpful halfords I've ever used. And there has been a few over the decades. I needed a battery for my Peuget boxer based motorhome and the man at the till was extremely helpful. My reg number didn't come up on search listings but he asked a few questions, year, engine size etc, then came up with 3 options. All fitted by myself and on the road. The other surprise was the price. I had some idea in my head of post covid price but was extremely with what I paid. Price was compatible with what is paid precovid for another van and a lot cheaper than others I've bought

I had a very poor customer experience here. I felt intimidated by a very rude and unhelpful member of the cycle team. Another colleague (I think a manager) did his best to help but I would genuinely not step foot in Halfords, Carlisle again simply by the attitude of this staff member. Perhaps I was unlucky!
