On Monday I called to renew my windscreen wipers, none in stock, ( this I can accept). Told to come back back on Wednesday, which I did. They were not there, asked at what time I visited on Monday to which I replied afternoon. I was then informed I had missed the orders for that day and it will be at least Saturday. I was then informed that an email will confirm when to collect, this is new information.
This is the second time at Carlisle when there has been a let down. The last one resulted in me scrabbling to book an MOT at another garage on the day it was due, even though it had been booked for over 3 weeks

I've been twice now this year. Consistent customer care. The two ladies at the front desk orchastrating the operational hub were a credit, very helpful...do your best to make them feel appreciated Halfords. They are the reason I came back!!!

Initially thought service was great as I had my car battery tested (not keeping charge) & changed, all in all it probably took an hour.
Was only when talking to friends a few days later that they thought the £210 was steep. Having checked my receipt today I then realised that the battery that was installed, costing £180.99 was in fact a ?stop/start? battery which I was asked at the outset (?because they cost more?) if my battery was such a battery & the answer was no as my car isn?t a ?stop/start? car.
Having discovered this I called in at the Kendal Halfords today when passing (where I might add the staff & Manager I spoke to were brilliant, a huge credit to the company!) where it was revealed that the normal battery that should have been installed was £100, a saving of £80!!!!
Fuming isn?t close!
Apart from being treated like a mug (I haven?t a clue about cars & reliant on people being honest with me) I have now got the inconvenience to call at another Halfords for the correct battery to be installed by an ?experienced fitter? plus I?m out of pocket!!!
I would like to add though that in all the many years of using Halfords for my car & bike this is the only time that I?ve ever had a bad experience with Halfords, staff are always very helpful & knowledgeable.
Would have given this experience minus stars but that isn?t an option!!!

We stopped last minute to have some roof bars and box fitted. Mel and the staff working on 14/07 were absolutely fantastic and were extremely helpful. I would definitely recommend this store can?t thank the staff enough for their help.
