It started off my partners family bought a sofa and said they received brilliant customer service we're not pressured into getting anything if they were not comfortable we're guided good with getting products and extras knowing it will cost more to get cover which they were happy to confirm we're not miss sold a girl called bethaney was recommended to us before we went in as we gt t store we looked about me and partner ran like kids to the same sofa and the same girl bethaney welcomed us and guided us in purchasing are new sofa offers us a hot drink helped us try and match all the colours to perfection had a few samples to look at asked if we would like the extras and cover never once misssold us anything we were happy with top quality service we received and the purchase of our new sofa very thank full fr not pressurising into getting stuff we didnt want many thanks terry Lumsden and katie timperon

Nice showroom with lots of variety and ample staff to see to you, but at the same time don't hound you, giving you the freedom to walk around and peruse. A good selection of Sofas and accessories.. look online too as some stores don't have some of the sofas in store. Rachel was a great advisor who dealt with us on our visit ??

Wandered in for a look around the Carlisle store and ended up walking out after being harassed by numerous sales advisors.
even after explaining we where just looking they kept suggesting and recommending some couches I wouldn't let my dog sit on..

Ordered a suit that came in the wrong colour. Was made to feel we had ordered that colour, later to be told they couldn't reproduce the swatch we ordered from. That swatch is still on show in the shop. The guy on the shop floor was as helpful as he could be but the manageress was nothing short of dismissive. Instead of going through an enjoyable situation, she has made it very uncomfortable. The suit we have ended up buying is more expensive with no good will gesture whatsoever other than being told DFS will not be held responsible for any extra cost. Can't wait for this negative experience to be over as won't be going back.

Don't not use this company for anything. Bought a sofa and chair in July it is now mid November and we have still not received it. There is alot more to the story. Please don't use this company!!

Terrible service. Staff were exceptionally rude, obsessed with making commission and obstructive, patronising, with the exception of the sales advisor that we dealt with when first purchasing the sofa, Rachael. Wrapped sofa for collection with all pillows on top significantly increasing the weight of the sofa making it difficult to move and we ended up having to remove the protective plastic packaging. Unhappy with my choice to collect the sofa over spending the £130 delivery "and installation" fee, then tried to make it impossible to collect. When we turned up we were told we will not be able to collect the sofa, after travelling over an hour after being told that we HAD to collect the sofa ASAP. In the end, allowing us to collect the sofa, acting as though they were "doing us a favour". All in all a very disappointing and annoying experience, especially after spending so much money on an item in their shop. Will not be going back and will happily advise anyone else to avoid them.

We saw a small Swatch sample of the colour of suite we liked. The suite was delivered on Sunday and the colour was just far too much. It's described as latte?how can you know from a small sample about the impact of a full three piece suite? And of course you can't have it returned even if you intend to buy another one. All you get is apologies,but because you ordered it you are stuck with it.
Rather than keep a customer who has bought from them before they would lose that custom and any good feelings towards DFS rather than attempt to resell a suite that is 4 days old and in superb condition....
Absolutely appalled.

BUYER BEWARE - Do not buy from DFS. I honestly do not know how the company is still going. Appalling service. Delivery drivers damaged settees and our walls trying to cram through door when we had suitable large patio doors accessible (which we asked them to use, but they said it would fit). No apologies, would not even take back as we refused the delivery as it was damaged. Carlisle store and manager no help. No one was willing to take responsibility. Finally got it collected a week later and fully refunded, but this was a battle. WILL NEVER EVER USE AGAIN. BUYER BEWARE

Lovely store with lots of items to choose from. We found exactly what we were looking for a couple of two-seater settees.We met the most knowledgeable friendly salesman called Josh, who was most informative and helpful.
