Drawback is having to pay £12 per day for the hotel car park regardless if one has a blue parking permit.
Makes a stay quite costly.

The hotel is brilliantly situated right outside the train station. Inside it's pleasant enough and the rooms are ok. The bathrooms are terrible. Black mould in the silicone and really dated. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Nearby activities: Really close to the town. Totally walkable.

Stayed here on the 17th of January as a stopover before travelling home after an exhausting week and a half of visiting a close relative in hospital in Newcastle and as I was feeling slightly under the weather and needed to relax properly before travelling on I decided to book straight away after leaving the train station and to my surprise there was still rooms available. The lady on reception was so professional and friendly and welcoming, nothing was a bother to her and the check in process was quick and easy. Before I knew it I was in my room (107) and enjoying a nice hot power shower in one of the cleanest and warm bathrooms I had seen in a hotel compared to some of the others I had stayed in, in recent times! The room was a comfortable temperature and the noise levels where fine especially for a Friday night, I slept very well! The room was immaculately clean and the bed was like sleeping on a cloud! Lovely! I felt like I'd had a proper refreshing rest. I'm taking a trip to Carlisle this weekend after a heavy week at work and thinking of staying here again for a mini staycation as it was just so nice and relaxing! Thanks for your kind hospitality, absolutely fabulous!

Stayed for 2 nights10/01/25. We have stayed here on numerous occasions as the staff are so friendly and helpful. Special mention this time to Donna and Aiden, both warm and welcoming and ensured we were comfortable throughout our stay.
Our rooms was spotless, spacious and comfortable. The only thing I would mention is the bathroom could do with a bit of updating but it was definitely fit for purpose. Nice to see the downstairs/reception has been decorated. We will definitely be back in the future :)

Room and hotel are lovely and from personal experience of trying the other hotels in Carlisle, I must say the Carlisle Station Hotel is the better, more up to date hotel and will be my future choice going forward

Popped in for a drink before catching the train. I ordered 3 baby Guinness and a coffee = £35.05 !!!!!!
When I challenged the price I was told I had to be charged for 3 tia maria and 3 baileys, although one of each would have been enough to make the shots!!!!
........ and I wasn't given the remaining drinks!!!
Absolutely shocking.... I will never be back and will advise friend and family to avoid the place!!!!!

If the fabric of the hotel matched the excellence of the staff, this hotel would be perfect.
The downstairs, communal areas, are very smart and comfortable and clearly recently refurbished. Our room, sadly was not.
Room and bathroom both good sizes and very clean. But dated and in need of upgrading. A nice mirror and heated towel rail did not compensate for the 80s suite and 4ft high fixed shower head! The mattress was very firm and the room overly warm with no way of opening the window.
Having said all that, the staff were amazing. So friendly, professional and kind. Nothing too much trouble and we would definitely stay again for the service outweighed the shortfall of the room.
Wooden keys and environmentally friendly policies also a plus.
Steps from the station entrance and quick walk to town. Breakfast was reasonable and tasty.

Food and drinks: Reasonable prices in the bar.
Breakfast good value.

Hotel good for price we paid, we had a room with heating not working. Hayden or Aiden young duty manager came to room and sorted another room for us straightway.
He was a very pleasant and helpful. Well done.

Stayed here for the night and it was one of the best places I have stayed in! The room was perfect with a very roomy bathroom and a comfy king size bed! Cannot fault it! The staff were lovely and friendly! Will definitely stay here again!
