“Popped in on a road trip for a pit stop. The bathrooms were clean and tidy. We used the cafe and the food was good especially for the price. Cafe area was also clean and tidy.”

“I only pulled in because I hit a ferkin pothole that took out my front tyre.. On the Carlisle roundabout North bound slip.. Another £100. Why are we paying road tax... Anyway I got a caramel hot chocolate and it was great and the lady behind the counter was very pleasant and chatty...”

“Clean, tidy, very comfy bed at a great price. Cooked breakfast excellent value as well. There is parking but use 2nd side road if approaching from the south. There is some traffic noise but that wasn’t an issue. Staff were incredibly polite, attentive and very helpful. They went above and beyond to sort out a recalcitrant shower. Down sides: interior decor was a bit tired in places and could do with a little refreshing. Music from the bar could be overheard if allocated a lower numbered room (I wasn’t) For some this may not be a such problem. Overall verdict: fab if you’re on a tight budget and want a comfy bed, good value for money, polite and attentive staff. Well done guys! Thank you .”

“There's a lot of laughable reviews here, there should really be some organisation to reviews because blatantly fake ones just melt the whole idea of reviews.Anyways, I needed a new card as my old one had expired and I was temporarily at another address. The staff helped me sort out everything that I needed and went out of their way to try and loophole some issues. In the end however I had to get my card custom delivered (this isn't my usual branch, as all cards are sent to the branch you signed up at,) a third party picked it up for me and delivered it, it had been about 8 days at that point, but unlike some of these reviewers I understand the point of these reviews is the place you're reviewing, not the whole company, SMH.Anyway I visited a few times and they tried to locate my card without any luck, and extracting cash wasn't a problem (needed ID, but some of the staff recognised me and waved me through).Staff were courteous, welcoming, and ready to assist with any issue.4 stars because the place needs more seats lol”

“Only my second visit in the last 18 months, mainly due to the reduced operating hours, so I tend to use telephone or Internet banking.I waited for a few minutes as the customer support staff were helping a customer already, so I opened for the counter staff.The lovely lady I saw was brilliant, and between her and a colleague, I was able to get my request resolved without issue.Cash withdrawal and deposit available at the counter or by machine. PIN service available at the cash machine. Fully accessible. Close to bus and train station, disc zone parking located a short walk away too.”

“Always well stocked and is a godsend as only shop in local area especially if you are walking. Usually some good offers and I especially enjoy the scones - especially the cherry ones sold in packets...they are great quality. The staff are friendly and I have never known it closed really in all the years I have been shopping there...they even do some fundraising with the second hand books..as you can see there is a wide variety of ? alcohol.. they also sell magazines and papers.. cash point outside..”

“The staff in this Nationwide branch are extremely helpful and friendly. The lady who served us managed to sort out all the mistakes another branch and the people in the call centre had made within 10 minutes and she did not make us feel like we were taking up too much time. They are also very good at keeping appointment times and have never kept me waiting. The branch looks stylish and modern and is very well laid out. I think the main reason this branch has less queues is that is slightly out of town, the only problem is that it is hard to park nearby.”
