EVERYTHING ?????????? Lovely place,staff, food & price xxx Me & my daughter visited for the 1st time today she is a picky eater & they let her have a kids meal & after recently undergoing surgery they let me have a kids portion too; lovely homemade veg soup & egg mayo sandwhich ; theres not many that would do that !! Thanks again & cant wait to come back xx

Food was absolutely brilliant we couldn?t have faulted it. We are very glad we found this as it?s handy for a simple but hearty lunch. Good variety and something for everyone. We will be back!

Homemade soup is delicious..had a jacket potato previous visit and my mum is fussy eater she got cheese and beans far too much on plate for her but she loved it..I got the mushroom jacket potato..was lush. I just wish they did reserve tables as it has been busy a couple of times when we have gone but no seats so went elsewhere..but I do love the soup.

Best full English breakfast I've had in a long time! Staff very friendly and efficient and reasonably priced menu. My other half enjoyed his jacket potato too. Thank you

Had heard lots of good things about the Arches and have to agree it really is one of the best places for a proper breakfast. Lovely old school charm with table service and lovely friendly staff. The breakfast was great with lots of choices. We will definitely be going back there and highly recommend it too ?

I haven't been here in such a long time, and I was glad to see that it hasn't changed one bit. The food is as lovely as it was 20+years ago! It's always busy which I can see why!

A very traditional cafe in the centre of Carlisle.The staff were very friendly & welcoming .The cafe had lots of homemade food options and prices for food and beverages were very reasonable.The cafe was very busy but service was prompt, seamless and very organised.Cafe & toilet facilities were clean & tidy.

Nice cafe with friendly staff and good service. We had the Full English and enjoyed it if a little greasy. Generous with the butter for toast. Good value.

Worst lunch ever. Dreadful attitude of staff and incapable of making soup that wasn't so salty that it will make someone ill. Sent it back and all I got was attitude off the girl who said she was the owner. Do not recommend to anyone unless you want disgusting inedible food and dreadful attitude off the chavvy staff.
