Wrong diagnosis on visit 1, diagnosed faulty top mount issue as loose plastic liner, charged circa £125 for 6 plastic screws.Second visit diagnosed faulty top mount correctly, however, when replaced with new top mount caused a knocking on the same side after collecting.Third and fourth visit, after spending ?hours? searching for the fault they gave up and suggested it was ?80% chance of anti roll? so agreed to get it fitted, didn?t rectify the issue.I collected the car and took it to a specialist garage who diagnosed the problem straight away - ALS hadn?t connected the shock absorber correctly to the top mount after replacing - specialist garage repaired the shoddy workmanship conducted by ALS.ALS did pay for this work, however, will not refund for the anti roll even though the fault and knocking noise was caused by ALS not connecting the shock absorber correctly after fitting top mount.This garage also let the vehicle leave in an unsafe condition on 3 occasions with a child on board.Complaint logged with AA as they are an approved garage and also Motor ombudsman??. Avoid

ALS transported me from Tebay to Johnstonebridge yesterday when I broke down on the M6. The driver of the truck was polite, courteous and so very kind. My total recovery time from breakdown to home, with 3 different service providers was 23 hours but each driver cheered me up and made me feel important. Thanks to your driver, the middle section of my recovery went smoothly.

Unfortunately my car decided to break down on the motorway, after getting in touch with the rac (who I have breakdown cover with) they were unable to help me so passed the job on to a local recovery company. Joanne I think her name was? (A very friendly driver who I had a grest conversation and laugh with on the way to the depot) came after a short wait and had my car on the back of the recovery truck and I was safe and off the side of the motorway. ALS held my car over the weekend whilst my place of work was closed and delivered my car to my workplace the following working day. Couldn't ask for a better service. Thank you for all your help.

I had been broken down for over 3 hours on M6, thanks to my incompetent insurance company. ALS were quick to get to me once they knew about me. Obviously I was distressed, cold and crying when they got to me. The driver showed no sympathy or empathy. He was already unloading me onto double yellow lines at a McDonald's when luckily I got thru to his boss. I explained to him that I was prepared to pay, and had told the driver this, to be taken around the corner to a garage. But the driver just wanted to leave me stranded in a different place. His boss, Gavin, asked me to put the driver on. Which I did. Drivers face was not a happy one as he gestured to his partner to wind the car back on recovery vehicle. I was then taken less than a minute away to the garage. Thank you Gavin. I am a senior citizen, female and alone - that driver ought to be ashamed of himself. If he were my son I would be ashamed of his behaviour.

Poor customer service was given a quote to do a cambelt replacement they phoned to say car was due service said I was going to do that myself so that was OK carried out work took a day and a half to do then won't give warranty for work carried out because of the service if this had been said at the time of phone call would not have got repairs done would have been cheaper to put in main dealers won't be using them again any time soon.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I broke down in Millom in my van with my daughter, the recovery driver was not only accommodating but reassuring, he made us feel safe and lifted our spirits, at the end of the journey all the items in my van were still in the same place (very smooth driving) I can?t recommend high enough this company (mainly the driver) pure expert in recovery and customer service/care.Sorry I have forgotten your name but on behalf of myself and my daughter, thank you so much, you are an honour to the company you work for.Paul & Hannah
