Not far from the motorway. A beautiful location, well kept building and surroundings.
Welcoming staff, Dog friendly bar. I enjoyed home made bread and hummus. The pastry on my chicken, mushroom and tarragon pie was melting in my mouth. Best ever! The staff were very helpful and brought our dog a heart shaped water bowl. ?? Will return.

Stopped here for a Sunday Roast & a few other dishes. The restaurant and staff were lovely however thought the food was quite expensive for what it was as it was unseasoned. Not too sure if we?d come again for food but had a good atmosphere for a drink and great outdoor area.

We stayed in the Bellingham suite with our daughter and little dog. The staff on site were always ready to help in any way they could, and the room was beautiful. I have to admit the one mattress had an uncomfortable dent in it, but everything else was so amazing that it didn't affect our experience. The room was cleaned perfectly every day, and the bath salts and oils were lovely. The food in the restaurant was incredible every night, and we are pretty difficult to impress consistently. Everything we ate was delicious and the specials they run during the week are very good. I would recommend this place and come again.

Didn't stay in the rooms, but ate at the restaurant. The food here is absolutely amazing.

Went for a meal here and had such an awful experience to the point we left before the food was served.
I was spoken to in such a disrespectful manner by the waiter that customers around us also said how unprofessional and uncomfortable it made them.
I took a phone call, quietly, off a family member and was told I need to end the phone call as customers weren?t allowed on there phones in the restaurant despite others being on there and children playing loudly around us
So disappointed as we have been here before but we will not return to this establishment again

We went here for lunch on Sunday, the food and service was absolutely amazing, it's one of the best roast dinners I have ever had. The service was outstanding, the restaurant was clean, well kept and nicely decorated.
The deserts were fantastic as well.
We will definitely revisit here if we are up that way again.

Stayed at the Plough Lupton last night. We had the Toursin suite and it?s a fabulous room. Very luxurious with a huge bed like a giant marshmallow. Had dinner in the restaurant, my partner was very happy with his fish & chips and my steamed veg were the best I?ve had in a restaurant. Would highly recommend a stay. It?s very convenient for both Kirby Lonsdale & Kendal. Full English breakfast was excellent & Buba (who looked after us) was so lovely & attentive.

Poor experience. One of the orders was wrong which I accept can happen but I was left eating my meal on my own whilst my husband waited and visa versa. They said it would be a 5 minute wait for his food to come but it was more like 15 minutes.
There was no cutlery on the table so had to grab some off the nearest table as my food was going cold and there was nobody about to ask.
We had to ask for the bill as no one came to ask if we wanted any other courses and also had to go to the till pay even though waitress service.
In addition after the poor experience they had the audacity to automatically include a gratuity on the bill!
Finally there was a distasteful painting in the male toilets of a hunting scene showing a fox being killed by a hunt - not exactly the cruelty one would want to see.
I appreciate mistakes can be made but it wasn?t even busy. How a business deals with mistakes is what sets them apart and this hotel has a long way to go in this respect.

Stayed overnight with my partner and 1 year old, to split up a North-South journey.
Great family room, and really helpful staff on arrival. Evening meal and beer were delicious, and breakfast the same.
Will be staying again in the future as so well located for the M6.

Lovely place on the edge of the south lakes area. Really nice comfortable decor and bright open restaurant. Greeted on entry and the hostess was lovely. Service was quick, friendly and we had everything we needed. The drinks were nice and a great range for everyone. Food was delicious, fresh and hot, standard waiting times even though it was busy and we weren't rushed at all. Big car park so plenty of room. Would definitely recommend a visit with the family or for a special meal.
