Tucked away on a charming one way street, this Italian restaurant might be a little tricky to find, especially with car access restricted unless you?re a disabled badge holder but trust me, it?s worth the effort.
From the moment you step inside, the atmosphere is absolutely captivating: warm, welcoming, and authentically Italian. It?s a spot that feels both special and relaxed, the kind of place where conversations linger over empty plates and glasses of wine.
The staff are fantastically attentive, cheerful, and clearly passionate about what they do. It?s refreshing to see young talent thriving in the hospitality industry, and their energy adds to the overall experience.
A word to the wise: skip the beers and lagers. This place shines when it comes to its wine selection, which perfectly complements the food and enhances the overall dining experience.
If you?re visiting the Lake District, make this restaurant a priority. Excellent food, a beautiful atmosphere, and standout service make it a true highlight of the region.

We enjoyed eating here on 2 evenings last week. The food and service were excellent, a varied menu.
All the staff were very welcoming , professional, efficient and friendly.

Spot on, the lambs liver special with chilli and onion ?fegatini diovolo? was unlike any other liver, melt in the mouth, all the food was delicious. Great service and atmosphere.
Would recommend. 10/10.

Staying in Windermere and walked past this restaurant and thought the menu looked good. Called same day and luckily managed to get a table for that evening, though it seems we really timed it right as it was fully booked. We walked down an alley to find a very charming, authentic restaurant where we were greeted and seated by a friendly and welcoming gentleman. The food was second to none, fresh and authentic and extremely tasty. Very efficient service, couldn?t fault any of it. £80 for three courses, two alcoholic drinks and one non-alcoholic drink. Really great prices. Will absolutely be back if we ever find ourselves in the area.

My partner and I both went for pasta dishes which were far from terrible but just felt like they were missing something.
Was seated on an awful tiny table in the middle of multiple loud and large groups, seating plan could do with an update.
Good restaurant but don't expect it to blow your mind like many local people and adverts suggest it would.
