Absolutely mesmerizing. A more immersive adventure through a whimsical and enchanting storybook world it would be hard to find, even at fancy expensive Disney amusement parks. If you have any appreciation for the idyllic and ethereal rural landscapes of bygone days, and you probably do if you're in the Lake District, come here. It is one of the most imaginative and whimsical places I have seen lately, playful without being extravagant or gaudy. The sensory details here are nothing short of remarkable: frogs on spinning lily pads, small and cozy houses among the lakes and burbling streams, even a canopy of russet autumn leaves accompanied by chattering squirrels. Walking through this place feels like being transported back to the unadorned, winsome curiosity and sincerity of old folklore and fable.

Looked small from the outside, had seen it a few times when in windermere but waited for the kids to get older. Walked in and was amazed at how big it is! Its like a tardiss! Paid on the day we didn't pre book, the staff were great. The kids were handed pencils and sheets for activities as they walked around. Even for adults you could see them being as excited as the kids were. Kids loved it and compared everything to the movie..if ever up there I'd highly recommend.

The kids really enjoyed their visit here. They were given a little book with questions and activities to do while walking round, which was really good otherwise the visit might been over quite quickly. We went at a quiet time so it was pretty quiet and no hassle either. We also popped into the little cafe after, the latte and the hot chocolates were nice too, and priced at around the going rate for a cafe these days.

A lovely place for kids and adults, a small introduction at first and then off we go to the beatrix world, had a great time at the place with kids a small puzzle must be solved by the kids and explore, admiring each character, small cafe, friendly staff, doesn't have much parking overall a great attraction.

Hard to access when entering from the road near the charity shop. Once you enter, there is hardly a queue even though the place was fairly busy in the museum itself. The museum has good discounts for a family and you can add on extras as a separate expense. The museum lights up the characters really well, where some characters are either average looking or extremely well made. The garden was even spaced quite well. You do get a good balance between learning about Peter Rabbit and Beatrix Potter herself, but anyone not interested in Peter Rabbit would love the garden and the audio biography of Beatrix Potter.Staff are very friendly, especially a young lady named Chelsea. The staff were helpful, flexible and happy.I personally don't watch Peter Rabbit myself much, but I would recommend this place for all ages. Very fun museum that takes about 45-60min to tour. Entry fees are good value, even for six people.

This is a wonderful place! Full of excitement and fun for people of all ages.I would highly recommend popping in to see the story of Beatrix Potter if you are nearby and looking for an hour or so of fun. There is a cafe and plenty of toilet facilities. The place caters to all walking abilities and those otherwise bound to other mobility devices.Don't forget to look at the cute badger! Although you can't buy any badger memorabilia......

Interesting place to visit if you have children. Not everyone's cup of tea and our children got bored towards the end.

A good place to visit for young and old

A really well done walk-through experience. We only went because our daughter is Peter Rabbit mad so we were expecting it to be very child focussed but it has enough content to keep adults interested too? plenty of ?back stories? about the inspiration for locations and characters in the books. You can spend as long as you want in here but you will probably be done in less than an hour to be honest.

Highly recommend for adults and kids alike. Reasonably priced, great photo opportunities, shop is expensive but overall a great place.

We visited the area for the day and spent more than an hour at the World of Beatrix Potter. The animals were very life-like, my 6year old granddaughter loved it.
