Lovely little church. Interesting marble stone outside dedicated to Lieutenant-Colonel John Bolton (22 March 1756 ? 24 February 1837) was an English merchant, Volunteer Corps officer and slave trader. During the Napoleonic Wars, he raised an 800-strong battalion of the Liverpool Volunteers regiment to defend against Napoleon's planned invasion of the United Kingdom.

Charming historic church that provides a peaceful retreat from the bustle of the streets outside. The building dates back to the 15th century, and was extensively restored in the late 1800s. Inside, the wall paintings are particularly impressive, complementing the stained glass windows and screen. There's an informative guidebook to point out the interesting features as you walk around, and friendly people on hand to answer any questions.

St Martin's Church is located in the center of Bowness-on-Windermere in Cumbria, England. It is an active Anglican parish church in the Diocese of Windermere,Deacons of Westmoreland, France and the Diocese of Carlisle. The church is listed on the British National Heritage List and listed as a Grade I listed building. This church is great. There are some pretty cool and beautiful stained glass windows inside. This is a great placeI was immediately shocked by the unusual architecture inside the church,Windermere Parish is a beautiful 15th century church that originated in the 13th century. This is a hidden gem and an oasis of calm in a very busy tourist destination.

An absolutely beautiful place to visit and light a candle for a loved one. Places to sit within the grounds to ponder on lifes rich tapestry. The inside of the church is magnificent and has some of the best examples of stained glass windows I've ever seen. If you're in Bowness, take 5 minutes and get some peace in your life. ???????
