We were lucky to stay at Linthwaite in Fell Suite 3 with a hot tub.
Can't say a bad word about the standard of accommodation and service. Absolutely outstanding. Special mention to Chris who was always on hand to help charge our car, bring us ice buckets and lug our luggage around! This hotel deals with a lot of VERY demanding customers (read that as entitled and sometimes downright rude) from around the world but the staff remain professional at all times. Thank you especially to the breakfast staff where we saw a lot of scenarios like this during our stay and still somehow managed to keep smiling.
Only improvement we can suggest would be to allow reservations on the terrace for those wanting to eat (rather than those stopping by for a drink on way to Henrock) and please replace the salted nuts at breakfast with a more natural variety!

Wonderful place, nothing is too much trouble, superbly peaceful environment with stunning views over Windermere, the gardens are delightful with lots of paths to explore. The hot tub in the apartment garden was a bonus

I often visit Linthwaite House as a photographer for special occasions.
The service and attention to detail is outstanding, nothing is too much to ask.
The views towards the mountains are fantastic and make the most perfect backdrop for photography and film.
The afternoon teas, are not only delicious, but you received plenty too.
I can't wait to return!

A fantastic place to spend some days to relax. Great view, absolutely lovely staff and extraordinary food. Henrock's is of course a Michelin listed restaurant with an exceptional menu. That alone is worth a journey. But: A must-enjoy is the Bar Food. That is the best bar food I had ever. The best burger with a bacon mayonnaise and everything else on the menu is worth a try. We sat there almost every evening because it was so good.

What a wonderful, magical place! My father took me to the hotel for a drink last year, and I have been wanting to experience an over stay for a very long time. Every member of Staff was exceptional. Oli behind the bar was such a lovely young man and Helen was so accommodation. And a BIG thank you to our helper this morning who drove is in the buggy with our cases.

Absolutely outstanding hotel and staff. Could not fault a single thing. The rooms and grounds are immaculately presented. A birthday gift from my wife and we had a fantastic time, the staff looked after us very well and we will definitely return for another visit.

The property is lovely, the breakfast delicious, and the service phenomenal. Linthwaite house will be our preferred stay any time we?re back and we will recommend it to all our friends. A Truly Unforgettable Dining Experience
From the moment we stepped into this beautiful restaurant, we knew we were in for a treat. The atmosphere was luxurious yet perfectly balanced?not overwhelming, just elegantly refined. The interior design was immaculate, creating a warm and inviting space to enjoy a special evening.
A highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the exceptional service, particularly from Theo. His expertise, kindness, and genuine passion for hospitality made our night unforgettable. He offered fantastic advice and insight, ensuring every aspect of our meal was perfect. His talent deserves recognition, and we truly appreciate the effort he put into making our experience so special.
Adding to the charm of the evening were the breathtaking views from the conservatory. Perched atop a hill, the restaurant offers panoramic views of Windermere?arguably the best in the area. Watching the sunset over the lake while enjoying an exquisite meal was an experience in itself.
The pricing was very reasonable for the quality of both the food and service. It?s rare to find such a perfect balance of luxury, comfort, and affordability.
We will absolutely be back and highly recommend this gem to anyone looking for a remarkable dining experience.

My recent weekend at Linthwaite House marked my first stay at a Mr & Mrs Smith property, and it was nothing short of extraordinary. As a Hyatt Globalist, I know not every perk officially carries over to Mr & Mrs Smith properties, but honestly? This place blew me away. The staff didn?t just meet expectations?they went all out. From handling our luggage without a hitch to leaving a sweet handwritten note and gift in our upgraded room, they thought of everything.
Shoutout to Diana (hope I got her name right!) and her teammate at the front desk. They greeted us like old friends?so warm and genuinely kind, it set the vibe for the whole stay.
The breakfast service was another highlight, thanks to the incredible duo in the dining room. Their attentiveness, kindness, and ability to remember our preferences really deserve medals! It?s rare to encounter staff who clearly love what they do with such heartfelt hospitality?they truly elevated the experience.
Linthwaite House itself is gorgeous (hello, lake views!), but what stuck with me was how personal everything felt. The team here doesn?t just do their jobs?they make you feel special. We left relaxed, spoiled, and already plotting our next visit!
