Myself and my partner attended this hotel as a getaway for her birthday we travel two hours 40 minutes and when we arrived, we were greeted by the Venue parking receptionist who told me where to park and where to go which was lovely she was very well spoken very professional. We walked in with our bags and checked in, but when we went to check in, she asked for the same card that I used when I paid for the hotel. As I booked this with Klarna the pay in 3 the card that is produced is a one time Card which was not available to access as it?s booked there and then on the app to which the woman at the desk was so rude and not helpful so was like well I?m not helping you as I can?t see any proof you have paid to which I my order confirmation and details on Klarna and Email and showed her the payment that was made and the order reference number to which she still refused to help me Happy to pay on my card the £50 fee with the card which was required but no she was still not happy and was like well you can?t stay with us then if you can?t provide the card that you showed never less I managed to somehow speak to Klarna and they provided me a link as a one off. After we checked in, we were given a glass Prosecco to which Mark the guy who who escorted us around the ground floor of the hotel to show us around the hotel and also carried our bags kindly as we were not informed before arriving that the lift was out of service. This was an inconvenience Not long ago had a car crash which she is receiving continuous care and therapy for as she is in chronic back pain from it. Mark was absolutely outstanding throughout our whole hotel and I can?t thank you enough Mark for the experience that you given and self you were so professional well spoken and you definitely went out of your ways to make our expectations were exceeded if not even more when we wanted to go to the shops we were told to leave our car at the car park as I wouldn?t get a space. Mark approach us and asked where we were off to we told him we were going into town to the shops to go see a few things and sight said don?t worry I?ll get you a lift in the Bentley this was honestly the best experience partner, I have never been driven in a Bentley before he told us all about the Bentley and told us and it was just a little things that added to the amazing. We Walked back to the hotel and went to the spa we spent quite some time in the spa but sadly a lot couples were spending a long duration in the Jacuzzi both myself and partner was unable to use them. The beds in the spa area are not comfortable at all you?re in one of the pods to which there is only two pods throughout the whole spa area was very annoying as also each time we went to the spa which was twice in the state that we stayed for there was always people in the pod bed and they would leave their towels on there and wouldn?t return to their bed for ages their bed meaning no one else got to use them. The second time we arrived at the spa to use the pool facilities, Jacuzzi, etc it was so hard that my partner decided to we were literally there for about 20 minutes half hour as it was like a sauna I?d never experienced something so hot in a spa where it?s meant to feel relaxing and cool. Prices were quite high for that as it was listed as a five star hotel. Room service finished relatively early meaning that both myself and partner were very hungry and this also was a it says no takeaway food or any food from outside allowed in the hotel. No vaping no smoking policy in the hotel which is totally understandable, but I can?t quite part as I can?t see how that affects when you?re outside on the balcony at all. The view for our hotel room it?s not exactly how it was advertised on their website so slightly disappointing with that overall the room was well looked after. The restaurant at the hotel was absolutely amazing. It was so good and the service is very good chairs slightly a bit uncomfortable. Would we return again? no, it was not worth the money even though it was stated five star

Unreal stay and service! First time visiting the lakes for my birthday and we decided to stay at the Lakes Hotel and Spa. From the moment we arrived, the gatesman welcomed us already knowing our names! Very friendly and welcoming from the go. We were then welcomed by the concierge Mark who was very helpful and shown us around the hotel and into our room. We stayed in a Lake Suite that had a hot tub on the balcony, and we have no words to describe how beautiful and amazing the room was and the view! The whole hotel was spotless. All staff were very friendly, helpful and dressed smartly. Customer service is 10/10. The spa facilities were unreal and both me and my partner had a back, neck and shoulder massage from Niamh who was fantastic, definitely made me de-stress! Food & drinks that we tried (tapas and breakfast) we could not fault. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking to visit the lakes and we will be back soon. Thankyou for an amazing stay

Lakes Hotel and Spa - WindermereI have been putting off writing this to see if we managed to get anything resolved however we have only been met with rudeness and blame. We stayed at Lakes Hotel and Spa in Windermere on Friday 1st March 2024. We have thoroughly enjoyed our night away that we had been looking forward to for months. This had cost us £315 for 1 night in a Double room with Hot tub. We came away so excited to return soon with friends however before we even made it all the way home I have received a message stating we have damaged the room with hair straighteners and they will be charging us £500. I don?t wear my hair down at the best of times so definitely didn?t at a Spa hotel when it would be getting wet and sweaty. I have immediately rang the hotel pleading our innocence and hoping for some sort of resolution, however all we have received is blame. They have stated that I have burnt the carpet with hair straighteners and it wasn?t there prior to us checking in. They have stated the cleaners check the rooms daily and would have noticed this earlier if it was there. However when I have asked for pictures of the room prior to check in for proof this wasn?t already there they cannot and simply will not provide them stating the cleaners check the room and they would of noticed the giant black burns on the carpet and they are clear when the sun shines on them. Something you think you would notice as a paying customer - pictures attached. I have also provided them with evidence via CCTV showing I have never had my hair down and straight it was only ever up in a bun as shown in picture the whole time I was there. The only time my hair was down was at check out soaking wet. I didn?t realise there was a hair dryer in the room so at check out I asked to use the Spa hairdryer due to not having one. The receptionist did inform me there was one in the room but allowed me to use the Spa hairdryers. I can wholeheartedly say I did not cause any damage to the room and the Lakes Hotel and Spa staff have offered me no solution. £500 is a lot of money so to be taken for damage that was no fault of mine is unacceptable and they could do this to anyone if they don?t have to provide valid proof. This incident has caused me a lot of stress and anxiety around visiting hotels again and I will be sure to look for and report any damage before I accept the room in the future.

I stayed the day before valentines day with my girlfriend and the staff absolutely made the difference, from the front desk to the concierge (Mark) to the bar staff, they're all lovely. We stayed in the exterior double and it was great. The spa is nice, it does get busy around 4/5 but is dead from 8pm onwards.

Our stay at Lakes Hotel and Spa was nothing short of fantastic! From the moment we stepped into the reception, the staff greeted us with personalized warmth, making us feel right at home. The complimentary glass of prosecco added a delightful touch to the check-in experience. The rooms were spacious, impeccably clean, and adorned with modern amenities, providing a comfortable retreat after a long day of exploring. The spa facilities were a highlight of our stay, boasting a pristine swimming pool, three inviting hot tubs, a rejuvenating sauna, and a relaxing steam room?all impeccably maintained for maximum enjoyment. However, the only downside was the consistent noise in the spa area, as some guests seemed to treat it more like a party spot than a serene sanctuary. This disturbance led to the deduction of one star from an otherwise flawless experience. The massage we received was truly out of this world, leaving us feeling completely rejuvenated and stress-free.Lastly, the breakfast spread was expansive, offering a hearty full English breakfast alongside excellent continental options, ensuring a satisfying start to each day of our stay.Overall, Lakes Hotel and Spa exceeded our expectations, and we look forward to returning for another rejuvenating getaway soon.

Stayed as a couple from Sunday to Monday. The manager called the night before to say unfortunately one of the Spa team had taken ill and they had to cancel the treatments. As disappointing as this was, it's just one of those things. As a sorry we were given free cocktails which although wasn't necessary we very much appreciated and enjoyed. Upon arrival we found out we were also gifted a room upgrade which was absolutely fantastic. Really made us feel welcome. The room itself was amazing, and we practically lived in the hot tub on the balcony.Ate at the Asian restraunt which we highly recommend. My girlfriend who is vegetarian also enjoyed and there were plenty of options for her.The staff throughout the stay were brilliant, especially in the cocktail bar. Very friendly and couldn't do enough for you.The spa itself was very nice, although a bit on the small side. If you like to have a space for yourself and a bit more quiet, then maybe aim to go in out of peak hours. Literally the only downside of the whole thing, which for us wasn't really because we were just chilling in the pool for hours anyways. All in all, a lovely getaway for anyone who needs it.

We spent the weekend at this hotel as a getaway and break from work. The hotel itself, spa, pub, and interior is beautiful. It's really nicely decorated. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by name with a glass of prosecco. The service was fantastic, and the staff couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. The room was large, really tidy, and had a massive 70" oled TV at the bottom of the bed (with netflix!).The balcony had stunning views of the lake, and the hot tub was so clean and hot. They advised us water is changed and the hot tub is cleaned for each new guest, which you could definitely tell when you looked at it and got in it. The heater system they used meant it stayed at constant 40C which was lovely. The spa and facilities are really clean, and we felt extremely comfortable relaxing around the pool. Be advised the pool isn't massive, so if you're going for the pool then bear this in mind.We got a couples massage while we were here and the masseuse did a fantastic job. I'd definitely recommend looking into the spa treatments if you pay this place a visit. The breakfast buffet was hot and extremely tasty, although the tables can be a little close to each other. We booked in for the full afternoon tea, and the Mizumi restaurant. I couldn't say a bad word about either of them, they were absolutely delicious. Drinks and cocktails are your usual hotel prices, but the quality and care taken for the cocktails is definitely noticeable. The gentleman who worked at the cocktail bar was polite, friendly and chatty and I can't fault the service!I'd definitely stay here again.Rooms: Refer to review!Nearby activities: Refer to review!Food & drinks: Refer to review!

We didn't actually stay at the hotel but we dined at the Mizumi restaurant which was amazing and the parts of the hotel we saw were amazing as well.
