Lovely and quiet, polite service, away from the crowds of Bowness.
Thought the bowl of food was quite nice, tasty and fresh, but very overpriced for the portion size, for this reason I wouldn't go back.

Our family enjoys Japanese food and we were delighted to find this place in the Lake District. The food is absolutely delicious?especially the Japanese curry bowls, which were rich, comforting, and incredibly flavorful. You can really taste the care and authenticity in every bite.
There was a little confusion when we first arrived about how and where to place our order, and the food did take over 30 minutes to come out. That said, the quality more than made up for the wait. Once the food arrived, it was clear it was worth waiting for.

Response to the owners question:
We attended Graze Cafe on Monday afternoon, 21st July 2025. We searched Happy Cow by Google, and it came up as a recommended vegan eatery. However, when we arrived we could see pork belly and other animals on the menu. We did not stay. For ethical vegans Graze Cafe is not suitable.

Very good place to eat with the family. We feel the japanese spicy in every meal and the famous Ramune (japanese lemonade) drinks.

Had beef udon and seared lotus rice bowl. Both were excellent. We're not vegan but enjoyed the vegan option. Beef soup was really tasty. Friendly service. Great Japanese food.

We visited this restaurant for lunch today after hearing lots of great things about it. When we arrived, we were told the wait for food would be over 30 minutes as they were quite busy?which we didn?t mind too much, since it came highly recommended.
Both my husband and I wanted to try the beef curry rice, but unfortunately only one portion was left. He switched to the pork belly rice, while I took the last beef curry. Sadly, the portion of beef was small and quite broken apart, which left me feeling a bit unsatisfied?even as a woman with a moderate appetite.
My mum had the vegetable udon, and we were surprised to see only three small pieces of pak choy and two slices of lotus root.

Absolutely phenomenal food!! We are from Melbourne Australia and have been travelling England and Scotland. This for me was the best meal I have had since I have been here. It was quality food that tasted fresh and home made and I could tell the owner takes real pride in his shop. This is a real hidden gem in the Lake District!! Nice to see some healthy options on the menu too if your looking for some fresh wholesome food. Lived the beef udon!!

The best food we?ve had so far on our tour! I had the Japanese Curry + Rice and it was fantastic! My friends had the Special Chicken Graze Rice Bowl and said it was great as well! We would definitely recommend checking it out.

Best meal out I've had in ages! The cuisine was exceptional, and as a vegan I had so much choice. Enjoyed the salads to start and the hearty and comforting noodle bowl, perfect for a rainy day
