The waffles with strawberries and chocolate sauce was not nice. It had been overdone. Very dry and black around the edges. The chocolate sauce had a weird flavour. Wouldn’t recommend this.
We booked in advance for afternoon tea as part of our honeymoon at the ChoccoBar after trying their luxury hot chocolates which were delightful. For an extra treat there’s the usual & unusual cakes & tray-bakes but another area of great indulgence would be the light fluffy Belgian waffles on offer. Home made from a lovingly developed recipe & suitable for those on GF diets, they’re not to be missed. So much so, that if ChoccoBar sells through their batter mix or their rich hot chocolate, the doors are closed. Standards are high along with expectations!
