Brackens provided our beautiful wedding flowers at The Belsfield Hotel and we were so impressed. The colours tied in perfectly with our theme, and the set-up of the flowers at the hotel was seamless. Brackens also provided candles and vases which looked fabulous with the flowers. Kevin is extremely knowledgeable and gave us ideas to think about that we hadn?t previously thought of, when choosing the flowers. We would highly recommend them.

Kevin and the team did the flowers for our wedding in June. I was initially unsure about using a florist and debating using dried flowers as our wedding was so small, but Kevin couldn't have been nicer when i approached them last minute.I told him that we didn't really have a colour theme but that I loved cottage gardens and just wanted my bouquets to look like we'd walked through a cottage garden and gathered flowers that were naturally in bloom in June and they did not disappoint. They were absolutely stunning. They had even had picked up on the fact that i love David Austin roses and added them into the design which was such a lovely touch.Kevin also answered my endless emails about adding a flower crown and how to tie my grandma's rings to my bouquet and even delivered the crown to me on the morning before taking the bouquets and button holes to the venue.Brackens really went above and beyond for us even though our order was very small in the scheme of things, and I am so glad that i decided to go with real flowers as they were just beautiful.A big thank you to Kevin and the team, from Mr & Mrs Proudfoot x

From the beginning Kevin was so helpful and responsive. Other than knowing I wanted sunflowers, I wasn't really sure what else I wanted but he really helped define what to put with the sunflowers and gave some great ideas, like the bridesmaids having one big sunflower each! The flowers on the day were so beautiful and joyous! And the stunning arch has given us some stunning photos. Thanks so much Kevin :)

I'd rather stay anon but we had our wedding flowers through Brackens and whilst they were beautiful, I originally went in and said I'd like to book flowers and have a chat about what I wanted (I had photos for inspiration). He couldn't talk to me then so sent me away and wrote down our wedding date and said it would be fine. Nearer the time I heard nothing and so I emailed saying is this still happening, they said yes but I got the feeling they hadn't booked me in. He asked how many it was for and what I wanted (I'd already told them all this). I sent photos and said I'd like identical to this. What I got was nice but not identical in terms of colours. Maybe due to what was in season,. Never discussed with me though so who knows.Also I had a cascading bouquetI forget the name) and within an hour it went from a lovely design of falling flowers to a floppy mess. All I can see on our wedding photos is my floppy bouquet. I can't pretend that isn't really disappointing. Especially when we pay what we pay for wedding flowers. Everyone knows wedding stuff isn't cheap...I don't know why our booking experience was bumpy, maybe I caught them on an off day but I'd recommend emailing regularly and getting examples of what they are planning on making so you're not surprised on the day. My bad maybe?I can't rate them lower than 3 though because the flowers were beautiful. I had an even worse experience with the competitor in the area!Edit - checked my emails and I never got told that I could book in for a consultation, nor was this mentioned when I came in on the day.

I'm not from the area and contacted Kevin via email on the recommendation of our wedding venue, Storrs Hall Hotel.I was speechless when the flowers, bouquets and buttonholes arrived on the day. They were absolutely stunning. The bouquets of roses and olive leaf lasted for another 12 days after the wedding.First class service all round.

We asked Brackens of Bowness to do the flowers for our wedding in Kirkby Lonsdale. Covid unfortunately got in the way and meant we had to reschedule twice but Kevin was always so kind to speak with and very quick replying to emails.Kevin came up with some great themes for our wedding, knew the venue and what would and wouldn't work, and accommodated some last minute changes to the colour scheme.On the day, the flowers were delivered to the venue with plenty of time and looked absolutely beautiful, exceeding our expectations. They stayed fresh the entire day and the bouquets, button holes and table flowers looked perfect.We also hired some candles and candle holders which looked amazing down the aisle. Brackens arranged collection for us the day after which helped us enormously.Thanks so much for the beautiful flowers!We'd highly recommend Brackens to anyone looking for a wedding florist in this area.Photos copyright Neil Redfern 2022

We can't thank Kevin at Brackens of Bowness enough for our beautiful wedding flowers. They were more stunning than I'd ever dreamt of! There was such a huge variety of colours, textures and foliage that when put together was just so incredible. Kevin was so lovely to work with from our initial consultation (with his gorgeous dog), to the moment the bouquets were delivered by him on the wedding morning. We also had a big centrepiece that required construction on the morning which was a striking backdrop for our ceremony, wedding breakfast and the evening celebrations. We also gave all of our guests a bunch of flowers to take home which was a big hit and meant that none of the beauty went to waste. If you are looking for a florist for any event I couldn't recommend Brackens enough, thank you so much!

Thank you so much to Kevin and the team. The flowers for my wedding this week at the Lakeside Hotel were stunning. My Daughter and step daughter loved the over arm bouquets and mine was just what I had envisaged. Bright, and bold with a relaxed feel and a few wild flowers thrown in. My guests were so complimentary. The ceremony room and the reception were decorated with an eclectic mix of candle sticks and vases. Absolutely brilliant and they really did enhance the day.I can?t recommend Brackens enough. Thank you guys

so so pleased with our wedding flowers we received from Kevin for our wedding at the Belsfield on Thursday. They were even better than I had imagined and smelt amazing! The pedestal arrangements that he made for the window were absolutely beautiful.

Brackens of Bowness did the flowers for our wedding. They were absolutely beautiful. They were perfectly arranged and smelt incredible. Kevin was really helpful throughout the whole process and helped us to choose the right arrangements for our wedding and venue. Lots of people have said to me since that they were the most beautiful flowers they had ever seen at a wedding! Thank you so much, we would highly recommend.
