Pets at home has everything you need for a wide variety of pets. Recent changes to the store and, presumably all stores, means that it is difficult to purchase heavy items due to lack of help from staff. Staff, when you can find them, are helpful but it seems senior management, not at store level, consider that customers must either wait until someone can be found or struggle to the checkout with your purchases.

Went in with a kitten I rescued to get all his new stuff and was being shown by a worker and getting advice on food when then manager come over and said I can't have a can in there cause there's dogs and it looks terrified ! She said put him in a box and I thought we'll a dark box in a empty car all alone is worse plus he needs to try things on in the shop and he's already been in the dam shop 20 minutes waiting around for someone to help us and the worker who was in the middle of helping is didn't have a issue with the cat being in there he was in my arms not causing any problems so what's the problem are the racist to cats or something cause this is just so unprofessional and zero compassion was shown to us I'm not a moaning person but this was bad

I am very sorry there is something very wrong in the fish department the way thay run things my first tank 200 liters I set up 3 years ago I went in the shop today explained I set up a 300. Plus litre tank fully cycled fully planted out and I was aloud to buy two baby plecks and six Ruby barbs not good enough not going back again enough is enough will buy everything online now been keeping fish since I was 15 I am 67 this year have a bit of respect for customers please

Do not buy fish from here unless you want an infestation of bladder snails! No they don't tell you they have a problem and you won't see them as the eggs are in the water! We now have to strip the tank again and have lost 6 fish thanks to them.

Never seems to have the product(s) on the shelves or in the freezers that I go in for. I've lost count of the times that this has happened. Additionally, prices seem to have increased every time I go in the store.On the positive side, the staff are always polite and professional, but there is little that they can do if the products are not in stock .
