I would like to thank the A&E team who were on duty on the night of Friday 1st March. The treatment my diabetic partner received was fantastic and can't thank them enough.

Went to an appointment at the Ophthalmology Department yesterday. What a great service and so efficient. Had hardly any wait, and my treatment was excellent from all involved.

No words for how filthy this hospital is, I have posted photos as proof.I have relative in ward nine and there are bodily fluids congealed on the bed end, stains all up the curtains and dirt all around. He has had accident and they have thrown his clothes in a bag next to him as if he wasn't humiliated enough. This kind of care or lack of needs addressing, the NHS is being taken advantage of by cleaning contractors who clearly don't know how to clean or sanitise and whoever is in charge of ward should also be held responsible for letting this kind filth go on.

Recently my son in law was admitted to ICU having suffered a huge brain hemorrhage. The staff in the ICU were nothing short of amazing. There is nothing we asked for that wasnt done straight away. They provided us with either reclining chairs or folding beds so that we could get some sleep at night. They organised free parking as we were there for some days and made sure we were fed and watered.Nobody wants to be a relative or friend of somebody in ICU but if you are this is the one to be in. The staff are warm, attentive, thoughtful and nothing is too much trouble. This is how the whole of the NHS should be!!!

Very pleased with my recent experience at the hospital, except for the Pharmacy there. When they gave me the medicament prescribed by the consultant they said they did not have all the amount and I could collect the rest later on the week. I said that I lived far away and could not do that and they said they would do arrangements with their Pharmacy where I live. Not only they did not do those arrangements but when I went to to try to solve the problem and they phoned the hospital, they were told that there was no record that anything was missing. The whole thing has caused me anxiety. They should be more careful at thaPharmacy in future.

Had to be taken to A&E before Christmas with an infection and was taken into ward one- a few people were quite rude and dismissive but wanted to leave a review for two members of staff specifically Mandy and Jemma - both went above and beyond to care for me and make me feel comfortable and are most certainly made for this job! Would be fantastic if all individuals in this line of work were this caring

Outstanding. I came through 111 on Christmas Day, was given an appointment, no waiting time, doc was ace, gave me all the medication I need with no hesitation or confusion on what to give

Laura the A&E nurse practitioner who looked after my elderly family member when he came in yesterday by ambulance after a fall at home was absolutely lovely. She spent a long time on the phone to me finding out about him I felt very much that she cared & wanted to do her best for him. Excellent! Thank you so much.

On September 18th, after enduring intense stomach pains for three consecutive days, I reached out to 111 on the fourth day. They informed me that they would escalate my situation to the ambulance service, estimating a wait time of 1 hour and 45 minutes. However, 2 hours and 30 minutes passed with no ambulance in sight. I received a call from ambulance control 10 minutes later?totaling 2 hours and 40 minutes from my initial call to 111. Recognizing the agony in my voice, they increased the urgency of my case and promised an ambulance within 45 minutes. Fifty minutes later, the ambulance finally arrived, lights flashing, with three paramedics on board. To my astonishment and distress, the paramedics seemed more accusatory than helpful, questioning why I hadn?t seen a GP and implying that I was misusing their services. Despite my pain, they offered no relief but instead criticized and inquired what they should do next. I managed to get myself to the hospital following their reproach. Upon arrival, I was informed of another three-hour wait in an overcrowded waiting area.Compounding the issue, I struggle with severe social anxiety. The lack of available seating and my discomfort led me to the decision to return home and consult my GP the next day. I intend to lodge a formal complaint with the NHS concerning the unacceptable conduct of the ambulance team. My hesitation to seek medical intervention for two days was only underscored by the 111 operator?s kind assurance, stating, "don't apologize, that's what we're here for." The ambulance crew's behavior starkly contrasted this sentiment. As I brace myself for the ongoing pain and anticipate my GP's appointment, I contemplate alternative care options for the future. My experience with Furness General and the attending ambulance crew was deeply disappointing. Both the ambulance crew and the hospital get a regrettable score of 0/10 from me for their service.GO TO A DIFFRENT HOSPITAL !!!!

Was brought in by ambulance by Chris and Tom who were great. Seen very quickly. All the staff were very kind and considerate particularly the doctor Henry. Many thanks to everyone getting me through a very stressful time.

The care was so good here, was in the area and had an accident. Lovely staff and was seen quite fast. Much much better than Royal Lancaster Infirmary, thankfully.

Fantastic hospital all staff were amazingly kind. They were great with my little boy who is normally scared of hospitals and any first aid.

My elderly mum broke her hip. A & E were absolutely phenomenal. Which actually puts the rest of the hospital to shame. The food i would not feed to my dog. She left without actual being reviewed properly. Her own doctor has never told half of her problems .
