I was going to open an account at this Building Society. However this changed when I was in the Barrow Branch, waiting to be served. I heard a conversation between a lady and a cashier. The Cashier refused to serve her because she wanted to deposit money in her account. She was told that the staff were only their to complete important transactions. To get her cash into her account, she needed to go to a bank to pay it in. Then she could transfer the cash from there to her account in Furness BS electronicky.Then it was my turn to be told the Furness BS would not accept my cash. I went next door (to another BS) and opened my account their. They took my cash and used sanitiser to handle the money safely.

I spoke to a very nice lady today who explained to me the criteria for a BTL regulated mortgage.
