Very happy customer due to the service received from a staff member believed to be called Simon. Throughout renovating a home on each visit to B&Q he has gone above and beyond for myself and my partner on visiting the store most days and we are very grateful for this. I?m very happy with the service given. Unfortunately I cannot say the same about some other members (Louise) of staff in the store considering this is a place where people need guidance on what they are looking for.

Bought online as no stock at the barrow store and order was cancelled and told wait 2 weeks for a credit note in the post . Customer services sent us to the Barrow store who literally saved the day. Pulling out all the stops to resolve our issue . Barrows Decor manager and Deputy manager thank you so much . Keep shopping in store folks lesson learnt from me

I recently visited my local B&Q in Barrow-in-Furness and was thoroughly impressed, as always! Whether I'm embarking on a big renovation project or just picking up a few bits for the garden, B&Q consistently delivers.
The store is always well-organized and clean, making it easy to navigate and find what I need. The range of products is simply fantastic ? from timber and tools to paint and plants, they have everything under one roof. I particularly appreciate the quality of their garden section; their plants are always healthy and vibrant.
What truly sets B&Q apart, however, is their staff. Every time I've needed assistance, the team members have been incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly. They're quick to offer advice, locate specific items, and even suggest alternative solutions. It makes the whole shopping experience so much less daunting, especially for someone like me who sometimes needs a bit of guidance with DIY tasks.
Checkout is usually efficient, and the ample parking is always a bonus. For anyone in Barrow-in-Furness looking to tackle a home project or spruce up their garden, I can't recommend B&Q highly enough. It's truly a one-stop shop for all your home improvement needs!

Received a phone call with regards an electric fire at 07.30am the cardboard box is damaged but the fire is ok it's been checked it arrived in absolute pieces , then trying to get a replacement and it picked up was another dilemma it was as bad as the state of the fire

Went to pop in at 19:20 today and the store was already closed despite their opening hours being until 8PM. Unimpressed that the store shut early or haven't updated their opening hours.

Great store - pity about the appalling checkout. Wednesday afternoon 5 people queuing only 1 manned checkout. Meanwhile a member of staff stood idly by (he was overseeing the automated checkout which NO-ONE was using) but couldn?t help his colleague as there is only one non-automated checkout. Dreadful. Won?t be going again anytime soon.
