Amazing food and nice choice of beers, lovely vibe inside and out, dogs very welcome and staff so friendly and brilliant at their jobs. Definitely going to come back again when we're in the area.

Excellent! A real English country pub and inn with some cozy ensuite rooms. Good beer selection with some local ales and also cider and gin. Good English food, not only fish and chips. It is located in the small and nice village of Armathwaite, not so far from the main roads M6 and A6 between Carlisle and Penrith.

Real shame. Lovely welcoming staff, excellent lager, lovely setting. Unfortunately our table was on the grass area above the main seating area, with no table numbers.
