What a great stay. The place was very chilled and relaxing . Awesome accommodation. The food was excellent. Phil was super relaxed, friendly and accommodating. The locals had heard what I was doing and they were super friendly and came over and chatted with me. Definitely recommend and I?m certainly putting the word out to everyone who is doing Lands End to John o?Groat.

We had a lovely relaxed lunch here today. Sad we missed a Sunday Lunch Sunday but we were more than happy with the meals we ordered. Willow, our dog, enjoyed the attention as well!

Called in whilst passing through the area. Had a meal which was great value and tasted delicious. The food, the pub and the staff were great. Couldn?t fault anything at all, I?ll definately be going back when I?m in the area again.

We went for a few drinks on a Thursday evening and it was quiz night. The pub was packed and had a great atmosphere. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening.

Enjoyed our meals. Would recommend lasagne, hunters chicken and double chicken burger. Will be back to try out more on menu.

Lovely place, lovely food. Toilets are also some of the nicest and cleanest I've seen in a pub. Little touches make a bug difference. Will be back. Oh the homemade chips are amazing.

Wonderful pub in a fantastic location. The owners made us feel very welcome and made several suggestions for local places to visit. The home cooked food and the service were excellent. . The pool table and the dart board were great entertainment. Highly recommended

Staying locally for the week. Great home cooked food and well kept beer. Both had a delicious meal. A proper pub with a friendly atmosphere. Highly recommend a visit as you won?t be disappointed.

My partner and I stayed here in the bunkhouse while walking the Dales Highway. After a good day's walk from Sedburgh up and over the Howgills, we arrived at the pub mid afternoon.
The bunkhouse was clean, has good WiFi and a small fridge and tea and coffee making facilities.
After a good hot shower we had a couple of pints and a delicious meal in the pub.
There was a good atmosphere in there - locals enjoying a drink and a meal.
Very much enjoyed our stay - many thanks Phil.
