We visited this pub for dinner tonight. We wasn't disappointed. Good food the kids also loved it.
Portion sizes were great.
The food was well worth the visit. Friendly staff and a nice feel to the pub. Was a nice end to our holiday here ??

Overnight stop in this beautiful family run country inn. Felt at home as soon we walked through the door. Room was fabulous bed comfy fluffy white towels could go on and on ? u?ll just have to book and find out how wonderful the place is Had delicious evening meal, service 100% breakfast was also great
Thomas one of the owners was just lovely great chat about the place and how he came to own it along with his sister who we met the evening before and was just as lovely. If we?re ever in the area again will make a point of staying again ?

Stayed for 2 nights as a convenient place for a wedding we attended. Ate there one night and food was good , staff most helpful and friendly. The landlord attended to us at breakfast and he is a great host and breakfast was great. He provided me with local Taxi service telephone numbers . The room was comfortable and clean and had tea and coffee

We?ve just spent a week in Bolton and ended up in the New Crown Inn more times than we can count. Didn?t stay there, but it soon felt like our local while we were away. Friendly folk, both behind the bar and sat at it, and a decent choice of beers to work through.
The food?s spot-on ? I had a Cumberland sausage pizza that was so good I had to take a photo. Dog-friendly too, which is a big plus for us, and ours made himself right at home.
Cracking pub, good atmosphere, and we?ll definitely be back next time we?re up.

We had an alternative afternoon tea at the New Crown Inn for my hen do, and it was absolutely fantastic! The pulled pork was hands down the best I?ve ever eaten ? tender, flavourful, and perfectly cooked. Thomas and his staff went above and beyond, catering to all 26 of us with ease and a friendly smile throughout. The service was seamless, and every detail was thoughtfully taken care of. Highly recommend for a unique and delicious group experience!

My daughter had her hen party there. The afternoon tea was fantastic and the gluten free option was amazing. Great fun afterwards with live music. Highly recommend

We had afternoon tea as part of a hen party group 31/05/25. The afternoon tea was delicious, & there was a great selection of savoury & sweet treats. Tasty, plentiful & reasonably priced.

Didn?t enjoy my food it tasted microwaved but was so hungry as waited nearly 2 hours to get served. Wouldn?t bother complaining to the staff seemed they couldn?t care less and I just wanted to get out of the place after waiting so long, half the menu was off on the day and it was quiet. Disappointed I wasted my money here, good job it?s a one off and won?t bother going back again or I would have demanded a refund at the time. Instead here is a heads up for any future travellers up the Lake District.

I can sure you I didn?t not eat all my food for reference I had the sausage and mash so that is a lie. I don?t take pictures of food if it looks crap as it is not worthy of taking a photo of and I was that bloody hungry as you all took nearly 2 hours to serve us I was not going to sit and take photos of your microwave looking like meal you gave me.
Rest assured from your replies it is very assuring the decision to pay and get the hell out of the place as you are very confrontational and can?t handle criticism. Can people please read the reviews as it is very obvious they must pay for fake ones.

Just probably the best steak and ale pie ever. The pubs that serve what they call a pie with a piece of flaky pastry on top of a meat sauce should learn from these guys. It was a proper pie, shortcrust pastry top and bottom, full to bursting with the tenderest of steak, a rich gravy and the best chips. Our only complaint is we were so full we could not have a pudding. Great pub, the friendliest of staff, if you are anywhere near make the effort you will not be disappointed. Thank you

We had a lovely overnight stay. Such a beautiful traditional pub. Staff were fantastic and couldn?t do enough. Great food, comfortable stay. Would highly recommend and we plan to stay again

Went today for the afternoon tea, it was fantastic! Everything was really good quality and the price was fantastic! £25 for so much food I couldn?t finish it all and an alcoholic drink too! Cannot fault value for money and I will definitely be returning and recommending! The lady on the bar was really lovely too! Well done and keep up the great work!
