One word to sum this place up..... wow. I honestly don't get any of the negative reviews on here. We're not local and rugby was on and had no issue with any of the regulars and were very welcoming as were the staff....As for the food.... OMG, kids portions would be suitable for a teenager let alone my 5 year old she went for fish and chips and enjoyed every bit of it. As for me I went for Ribeye steak with peppercorn sauce... the steak was so good it felt criminal to use the peppercorn sauce but the sauce was on another level. The mushrooms were perfect as were the chips the only personal preference would be a more cooked tomato but where else could they improve if there wasn't something. Highly recommend one of the best steaks I've ever had.Kid-friendliness: Brilliant kids portion and very reasonably priced.

Great friendly village pub. The sunday roast was very good - tasty, very well cooked veggies and large portions - and great value for money. And dog friendly.

A truly lovely village pub. Great food at reasonable prices and very dog friendly. They sell the beer from the village brewery - Tirrels. Many local Cumbrian beers too.

We have been to the Mason's Arms many times and they never dissapoint. It's a lovely characterful oldie worldie pub and there is always a warm welcome from the owner and the team. They have a good menu which offers plenty of choice as well as a good range of beers. I am particularly fond of the 'Dirty Fries' which are absolutely gorgeous. I would highly recommend the Mason's Arms, it is definitely worth a visit, you will not be disappointed.Parking: Plenty spacesKid-friendliness: Always families there.Wheelchair accessibility: It's all on the one level.

Stayed in Long Marton this weekend for our anniversary and the Masons was about a 5 min drive from the pod, rang in advance to book for food and the lady was super helpful. I got the meat feast pizza which was massive (didn?t think I?d finish but powered through) and the Mrs got a sriracha chicken burger, with salt and pepper fries to share. Very glad we went here for our anniversary meal as it was perfect! Warm, friendly, the service was excellent and very quick. Staff are top notch, if we?re in the area again we?ll be sure to visit again. Many thanks!

The Mason Arms in Long Marton is homely friendly pub which reflects the Cumbrian villages hospitality. We made two visits to the pub on separate weeks as part of a split stay at a lovely cottage in Long Marton The real reason for the return visit was the totally awesome home cooked Steak and local ale pie . It was made with local ale from the village brewery and slow cooked steak which just melted in your mouth . The pastry was light and delicious not a crust on top of dish pie (just for effect) but a traditional pie yummy. This was served with skin in fries and peas and gravy (home made not just bisto and hot water). The ale was equally good and well kept this really is a hidden gem just of the road between Scotch corner and Penrith just of the A66 near Appleby well worth a visit even if just for the pie .
