Pretty poor customer service. I wouldn't shop here. Went to loads of outdoor shops this week and all greeted us with a Hello, can I help? Not here got stared at as we were walking around then a rude member of staff barged past with his ladders to restock some shelves.Plenty of other places to buy gear. You lot can go jump.I wouldn't recommend.

Over the years and only 3/4 months ago spent a lot of money here on Paramo clothing, travelled an hours travel to get there today to buy a new jacket each for two of us and for the first time ever NO DOGS allowed because it had rained it ways rains In Ambleside, bye the way the dog was dry !!!Totally disgusted, will NEVER shop here again and I am going to contact Paramo and tell them as wellI hope your sales suffer for this you don?t deserve customers

Hiking and outdoor gear heaven. A great range of high quality brands, friendly and knowledgeable staff definitely worth visiting for outdoor kit. They also offer online ordering which offers equally good service.

Love ordering online from The Mountain Factor. They ship items immediately and they tend to arrive within a day or two normally. Competitive prices and quality shop in Ambleside also!??

Very poor service, having spent over £2000 in this store over the last 3 year I ordered a coat and paid for it on line, found the coat £30 cheaper in another retailer and asked do the have a price match policy, I was told unfortunately not!2 days later received an email to to say they no longer have the item in stock, the alternative retailer has since sold out also, so now I don't have the desired coat and awaiting my funds

I've been procrastinating about getting a new waterproof jacket for ages as unsure what to get. Great advice from a very knowledgeable man (with ZZ Top beard). He had experience of outdoor pursuits and helped a lot. Great range and very helpful staff.Quick addition ? the Paramo waterproof jacket I bought is amazing. I've been out in some extreme conditions and stayed warm and dry.

Great service! I am on their mailing list and I saw a Patagonia jacket on sale at a brilliant price. However, the sizing online was a bit strange so I phoned the shop on Saturday morning and asked them to measure the chest size of the large jacket. It turned out that the large would be the right one, so I ordered online immediately. And today, Monday, the jacket arrived. Fits perfectly, looks great, speedy delivery and brilliant phone support!

Top class customer service! I left my glasses in-store whilst trying on a Fjallraven jacket and as I do not live in the area was unable to return to store to pick them up.On calling the store the next morning the glasses were located, packed securely and sent to my home address.Thank you ever so much for your assistance Rob, I will certainly be back in-store when I am next in the Lake District!CheersPhil
