Stopped off at the cafe here on arrival to Ambleside after a long drive. Service was super quick and staff were so friendly. Food was tasty, hot and delicious and tea was served with an extra pot of hot water to top up. Would definitely return!

A very nice huge garden centre! The plant selection is very good but there?s lots of other stuff too. We found the staff extremely knowledgeable and helpful.

Looking better than last visit. Clearly in the process of refitting the main internal display area. The Christmas display area at the rear (outside) still to be taken down and put away, it's February!! Should have been cleared last month. That aside, things were looking up.

Fantastic customer care and service.You actually speak to staff too,not just a 'chat bot'. Brilliant.We purchased a set of luxury acacia wood garden furniture comprising a large circular table & 6 chairs by Alexander Rose (teak option was not available) a couple of years ago.It seemed good quality initially but after a year or so a couple of the folding chairs cracked at the seating area brass joints.The glue just seemed to disintegrate.Bizarre.It is outdoor furniture! We spoke to Hayes and they sorted this out quickly with A. Rose for us with a replacement of those two chairs.Then a few weeks ago I got the set out of storage ready for spring and we sat on a couple of the chairs. Same thing happened-there's clearly a manufacturing fault here.The large table frame is also parting company on a couple of areas.I spoke to the lovely Elizabeth at Hayes and she promised to speak to her manager.Within 24 hours she had agreed a refund.This duly came through soon after.This is cutomer service at its best and I would have no hestitation in recommending Hayes. But maybe not Alexander Rose acacia products! I've only ever had teak before generally and never had issues.Teak also fades out to the attractive grey finish-acacia doesn't.
