Called in to look at some coats, it was time my husband changed his 30 year old Sprayway coat, we were assisted by the lovely Morgan, she was very helpful, informative and patient. This was the first shop we visited and after 3 hours and looking in all the rest returned to purchase the coat that Morgan had suggested. My husband was very happy with his shopping experience and now has a lovely smart black Berghaus coat, if it lasts as long has his last one he won't be needing another. We'll done Morgan on providing 1st class customer service

Today I visited Ambleside town centre as I needed to purchase a new pair of winter walking boots. The young gentleman upstairs in the boots department of Blacks was just so helpful kind and extremely knowledgeable too. He made buying a new pair of walking boots a nice easy prompt experience and I recommend this store highly even to the point I have already recommended this store to friends. Thank you so much for your amazing experience today.

We regularly shop at this Ambleside shop. Today my husband purchased a pair of walking boots. We were served by Morgan. She was amazing. Nothing was too much trouble and she was able to give expert advice. This lovely girl is an asset to this shop.

Customer service of this company is terrible. Bought some boots from Ambleside store. When i got home I found the boots cheaper online so I filled the price promise form in on the website. Got a confirmation back that the form had been received. 2 days later, had no response so phoned Gregory at head office. He claimed the form hadn't been received so asked me to fill it in again. So I said i'd fill it in while I was on the phone so he could check to see if it was received this time. He refused, claiming it wasn't possible to see if someone had sent a form or not??? Eh?? How can they even process a price promise if they can't tell if a form has been sent??? So folks it looks like the price promise advertised on their website is a complete and utter rip off. Their forms just go into a black hole where nobody ever responds. Won't ever purchase anything there again. Will stick with Cotswold Outdoors.
