Walked to this pleasant pub/restaurant from the nearby Restharrow campsite, using the footpaths across the golf course.
Super service, really friendly helpful staff and good wholesome food. Will happily use again. Thanks guys

Booked a table for a rainy day lunch time as it would offer us a short walk and something to do. We sat in a shed which was okay, but the music was loud (we asked for it to be turned down) and the floor had old food over.
We ordered our food. One choice wasn?t available, and then the replacement choice also wasn?t available. Fine- we ordered something else. The waitress then came back and said that they had found the second choice so they were making that.
Food came- the waiter didn?t know which burger was vegan and which was the chicken and there was a close call, luckily we knew which was which.
To be honest we were actually flabbergasted at the quality of food for what we were paying. There was no little side salad to add a bit of special to the plate. It was a burger and a handful of lukewarm chips. One of us had the flatbread, hummous and roasted cauliflower and it was so mushy it was like mashed potatoes. Another had the chilli toastie and the toast was rock solid.
We spoke to another couple on the walk home and they said they had also been there for lunch and they had ordered the ploughman?s and some of it hadn?t been available also- so it sounds like half the menu was missing!!!!!
So very disappointed in everything we received and will absolutely not be recommending or returning.

Ordered 2 x pork confit meals, both were extremely dry.
Prawn cocktail was greatly lacking in sauce.
Nice environment but meals were disappointing, especially for the price.

It seems I've given this public house a good review, and we only had a few drinks there this evening, and although the pub serivce was rather good, we were chaged completely different prices from the 2 identical rounds we purchased, but from the fake bamboo plants to the absolutely complete waste of time wifi, and more importantly the first world problem of the locals I really don't think i will be socialising in this public house again, shame as I would love to have tried the food, oh well

Good quality food and very popular with dog owners. Recommended. Watch out for real ales as not sure well looked after "new" barrel of Tribute served sour and cloudy.

We have just holidayed in Porthilly and visited the Pityme Inn on three occasions. It is dog friendly which is a must for us. We came for drinks twice and then came for a meal the third time. The pub is very nice with a fantastic beer garden. The food was delicious and we received friendly service. Would definitely recommend.
