It's really nice to discover something that you weren't really expecting. My wife and I booked for a romantic 'wild spa', Cowshed treatment and stay over at this local hotel as a belated valentines gift to each other. The wild spa, despite being outdoors and late February was a really good laugh. The staff; Victoria and her colleague were like personal butlers ensuring waters were hot enough, food was plentiful enough and even bringing us a glass of prosecco in the hot tub.Rooms were 'ok'; certainly clean and well very presentable but we'd upgraded ours and I wonder what the entry level offering is like as ours was certainly nothing special and was facing a carpark on the ground floor. The cowshed massage should be mentioned too - we enjoyed a fun 1 hour massage here with 2 of the ladies who were fun and bubbly and they even seemed to fix something in my back!Must also mention breakfast which was of a VERY high standard. The professional chef was visible to all as he tirelessly ran the spotless kitchen and turned out some very fresh and tasty food.Well done St Moritz, you seem to be making an effort to attract locals in, and we will be back in the not too distant ourselves!

Another 1 night stay with dinner B&B at my favourite hotel. We keep going back because the staff are great and the hotel so chilled. The beds are like little clouds. The food was great. Lovely walks! We love the cheeky deals they have and its not too far to travel so it is just a relaxing break. It is the staff that make it for me though. We will be back again.

We visited the wild spa, what an experience. Amazing value for money 2 hours in the sauna, cold plunge and wood fire hot tub. We then had a delicious lunch with amazing views of the sea. Jack and Petra helped make our experiences so wonderful, thank you!

Great hotel with an outstanding restaurant. Spa was closed for refurbishment while we were there, but will revisit when it's open.

Very comfortable hotel. Excellent accessibility in all areas if one has limited mobility.Breakfast was delicious and plenty of options.Staff were helpful and friendly apart from one who works in the spa and was annoyed at being disturbed by husband asking for his pool towel card after returning said towel!Very clean bedrooms.Great location, especially for walks straight from the hotel. We enjoyed our time there and would love to revisit.

Quite a pretty hotel at decent rates. Rooms have everything you needed from spa robes and slipper to hair drier and hair straighter which were handy, it was very clean and warm. Tv has sky, mini bar also provided. Did not used any other facilities on site so I cannot recommend them, however I will just say that the breakfast is £25 and it is the most expensive we?ve ever seen. Reception were friendly but didn?t mention anything about wifi (no signal zone) or check out info so we had to call from the room. Plenty of parking available. Overall good 4*

Visited the Cowshed spa with my wife whilst on holiday in the area as we'd decided to treat ourselves to a treatment each.My wife had the lava shell massage and I had the CBD massage. Both were booked for an hour. The spa is lovely and clean. The staff were polite and attentive both pre- and post-massge, offering us the use of the "recovery" (for want of a better word) area to relax in when we'd finished our treatment. My massage was wonderful. My masseur Megan asked if there were any particular areas of the body that needed focusing on, explained the benefits of CBD & offered me some drops to take beforehand - quite an unusual taste but not unpleasant - and then let me get ready on the table. The hour passed very quickly and very enjoyably. This is not a deep tissue/sports massage remember so there is less pressure used than in those types of massage but your muscles still get a lovely working over.I'm not sure if different lengths of treatment get different focus but my 60min session included front and back of body, arms, legs & feet.Once Megan had finished, I relaxed for a few minutes and drank some water before dressing and going to the aforementioned recovery area while I waited for my wife to join me.All in all, we both thoroughly enjoyed our treatments and would absolutely visit again - in fact I nearly booked myself in again that week but didn't for the only reason I gave 4 stars overall - price. The treatments were v expensive when compared to other places nearby, although obviously I can't comment on the quality of them and the facilities at those locations. However, given the quality of the Cowshed and it's staff, etc it's pretty good vfm to be honest. Recommended.

Fabulous room, lovely hotel and excellent service. Breakfast selection superb, dinner was OK, if you don't eat meat it's a struggle, even some fish dishes have meat with them.Rooms: Well furnished and comfortable

Stayed prior to any school holidays starting, well, it wasn?t exactly a great first time visit and stay.Cost:Sadly, can?t say it was worth it. It would be better to go somewhere truly of a better star rating; you get service! When compared with (deemed) lower value locations this was lower value in reality. Living off an old reputation.Empty staff:Staff in general seem distant. Many requests or questions were simply unanswered. The cleaning sign was left out on the hot tub, we asked when it was available as its not cleaning, they didn?t check and left us, we did not use it. Painful when paying, staff didn?t care or follow up despite to walk throughs to reception.Restaurant:They highly ?encourage? if not over sell the need to book the restaurant. We did book, arrived, wasn?t greeted, went to bar, made ourselves known ? they mentioned to other staff that your 7.30 are here waiting. Ordered drinks, waited ages while one staff member did all drinks orders, but it wasn?t busy (the top area of bar and restaurant wasn?t even a third full). Waited longer again with no update on seating, despite watching all the empty tables remaining empty. Decided to walk up and self-seat which got some attention at least. Service? Yeah, that?s not on offer here.Wouldn?t recommend eating here (food also generic and boring and comparable to Wetherspoons). Instead, why not pop into Polzeath and even a tiny café offers something fresh, vibrant and serves you! Also, the value of other restaurants and small cafes was expectational in comparison to what we got and paid. Both in quality and flavours.Breakfast ? comparable to any generic chain. Better value than it?s ?restaurant meals? mind you.Rooms:Not so bad, but the Wi-Fi was terrible and non-existent. These needs updating to meet modern standards. Cleanliness was fine. Room condition ? okay, tired in places and needs uplift.Feedback:We don?t think they want feedback ? we stayed and had no emails/texts/calls or follow ups. Hence, this review with an accurate representation of the lower classed St Moritz.Tip, if you haven?t guessed ? book and stay elsewhere.
