Really very impressive local store. All the basics available with some nice local specials added - fresh pasties, good local meats, bakery and lots of veg and salads. Even able to get some of the ?less essentials? such as throw away plates and cups. Only minor observation is that the wines are a little over priced. But there?s lots to chose from ranging from £10 - £25 range.

I found it to be a rather unique Spar shop, with a varying range of products I'd not seen elsewhere before. (Maybe local) yet the prices were reasonable, I had a minor incident where I got some chicken juice on my hand, and the young team of staff couldn't have been more helpful with cleaning up, and letting me have paper towels and sanitiser to clean my hand with. Thanks for been so friendly and helpful. Made us feel more comfortable to shop with you that you were still taking many precautions to stop the spread of covid. Well done

On holiday in the area beginning July... we ate here 3 times after a day in the surf... the fish and chips here are by far superior to other competitors in the area... the fish was so meaty that you could pick it up and eat it like a burger!!! Nicely lightly battered too if you ask... had to wait maybe 20 mins or so ... but definitely worth the wait.

We are constantly hearing of the economic disadvantages of Cornwall. Another track is the whining complaints about the take over from small local stores of the dominant supermarket chains. As an immediate disclaimer I am neither a local shop owner nor a governmental economic advisor so likely I don?t know what I am talking about. Still I would like to put forward a radical two part transformation plan that does not require any transfer of tax payers money. One. In the buzzing months of the summer when ?unwanted? tourists come to visit, agony as it may be why not extend your opening hours beyond 17:00 to increase revenue and trade. Stores in other parts of the UK seem to find opening when their customers want to spend money offers commercial opportunities. Two. Painful as it may be, try to be friendly to your customers. It may be really uncomfortable but try smiling and welcoming people. When firstly I was lucky enough to find you open I was treated to rude service. Later when I had to return, you had closed. I was relieved to have to take the 4 mile journey to Lidl which is open until 22:00. There, a very friendly person served me and smiled. You probably have a captive audience so can afford not to care. I for one look forward to a major chain arriving in Rock and offering something more to customers.

This business is overtly operating a discriminatory no mask no entry policy. Although they will reluctantly accept mask exempt visitors when challenged, the staff will put effort into making you feel unwelcome by scowling at you, all while ironically wearing useless face visors, and discretely selling goods that have recently been banned (house coal).

Good village shop. Not much you can't buy here, well stocked with groceries . Covid restrictions still in place.

Not the friendliest place, but if you need supplies it is well stocked.

That's what it said on the bax but don't rely on getting it at this place. We were treated to a dehydrated travesty of the real thing, what can only have been warmed up from a previous frying. The chips were bitty too. Someone here needs basic training and/or adequate supervision.
