Ok so, that was a fantastic experience. My dad wanted a shooting bronze statue thing for his 70th birthday present (Each to his own) and was very specific about where it came from what it was of and sent me the link to Ian hodge. Great. So I dutifully went on line and purchased said item, easy enough. Little wait and it arrives at the front door. Great. Open it up, oh sh#t some careful delivery person has dropped it and bent the barrel of the shooters gun to literally 90 degrees from the stock?.. not great 2 days before the birthday I need to return this and get a new one sent to me. I must admit at this point my track record for giving gifts at the right time like on a birthdays?? Not great, but to hell with it. I ring the nice people at Ian hodge and speak to a nice lady who says, oh dear, so sorry to hear that. If you send it back we will refund your postage and put a new one in the post. Well that seems fair to me shame I won?t have anything to give dad on his actual birthday but I will explain I am sure he will understand or not. Well less than 24 hours later there is a new statue thing in my kitchen sent signed for 24 insured and the bent one was still on the hallway table.The good people at Ian hodge went above and beyond, to make sure that I had a gift to give my dad for his birthday and I am seriously impressed.Take note businesses in the uk, that is how you do customer service! Bloody brilliant. Saved my hide and I am very grateful.Thanks againDaniel Rains

For ALL of your gun needs this place has it all. It may be slightly off the beaten track but don't let that put you off. The range of guns and accessories is second to none. Reasonably priced too. Service and advice was good too. So glad we went there.

Excellent company to deal with, purchased a Fx chrono through them for a reasonable price slight problem from the factory but this was rectified with speed and efficiency, I will use them again.

I called in for a look and was very impressed! The level of stock held was excellent and the prices very fair. The girls I spoke with were friendly and professional. I will certainly be back when next in the area.

I phoned up befor popping in to ask if it was by appointment only, it was not so feel free to rock up. Was after a couple scopes, they had them on the shelf ready to go. Shop was nice and clean and the staff were friendly and ready to help out. Happy customer hear. Top job. ??

This is a very well stocked shop which always has multiple staff so you are never waiting long. This shop really can cater for all shooting needs from air pistols to ready to go deerstalking set ups, although it being a 35 mile drive away its well worth it for the quality of service and quantity of items in the shop, if you are in doubt if its location is worth the travel I can assure you that it is!. 100% recommended

Dont usually write reviews, but the service from Bea and the ladies has been exceptional from start to finish.Sent photos of my Beretta to px for new Blaser F16, instant quote to swap, all done and dusted and amazing new gun received within a few days.Based in Oxfordshire, will definitely use these guys again and prices were the fairest around!Keep up the amazing work guys, thanks

Absolutely fantastic shop, looking around online for a new gun for a friend and came across a gun I'd been chasing for the last 10years or so at a very good price, called the shop, my questions were answered perfectly and truthfully by Ashleigh so i put a deposit down, i could have got it transferred up but spoke to a couple of friends who were in the market and we took a road trip down to Ian hodge from Bristol, long drive but we were not dissapointed when we got there, great looking shop, huge selection of firearms, clothing and accessories, we were left to have a look around without being jumped on as soon as we had walked through the door, but when we wanted serving all the staff were amazing, one of our party who had been looking for her first shotgun was, unlike in other shops, made to feel at ease and was not spoke down too like she has been which I have seen first hand, an educated discussion was had over what caliber would suit and 5 guns were presented the most expensive was offered up and rejected by Ian's trained eye as not being the right gun for her and instead a midline browning was found to fit much better, not only did she walk away with a new gun but with fantastic shopping experience, I'd say if you are in the area you have to pop in for a look but to be honest they are worth the road trip even if you are a 3hr drive away as they have a huge amount of stock on display and matched with an amazing level of customer service Ian Hodge fieldsports is probably the best gun shop I have visit in the last 15 or so years, plus the 2 spaniels are absolutely gorgeous.
